i have talked with her numerous times and she simple says this is my house and i can do what i want. she also becomes irrate so its not something you can really bring up all the time.

she wears it more often when she is mad at me. its really obvious

What the hell is the matter with your mother??? (sitting here shaking my head). I, unfortunately, share your sensitivity to certain smells, mostly the petrochemical kind that come from cheap body lotions and certain perfume. Not only do these things smell bad, they are BAD for you because anything you put on your skin goes into your body, and some of these lotions, etc contain chemicals that are carcinogenic. Maybe googling some articles about the dangers of these body lotions and perfumes and giving them to your mother is the way to go. Or maybe you should go to a health food store and find a GOOD body lotion that is organic and whose smell you can tolerate and buy it for her as a gift.

my mom is a little nutty. everybody i have ever talked to that isnt nutty that

knows her agrees with me. i'll try to give you an example. you know those

neurotic women that you see on tv shows that are getting botox at 60 and plastic

surgery. that will be my mom if not for my dad. she is a women of extremes.

she can do the nicest thing for you and then do the meanest thing possible. and

she expects compliments either way. reality and logic arent her strong suits

and should be avoided if possible.

she also thinks i am going after her about the body lotion smell to get back at

her. she thinks like this so she thinks other do as well. so her stance is

that she is standing up for herself. when really she is just being a ---

anyways, in fargo we really dont have health food stores. maybe i could find

some online. what other type of stores could i look into. oh, and you made a

commment about cancer causing agents in these products. my mom has smoked for

over 30 years. i dont think she cares about that. off the topic, but it still

bothers me that she smoked heavily while she was pregnant with me.

, have you applied for disability? You would also be eligible for

Section 8 housing (you'd pay a small percentage of your income fro rent--

probably about $90 a month) . You really need to get outof there. This is

not a loving home. Make a family fro yourself with other people--

friends..peoplewho know how to be caring and loving. You'll never get well

where you are. There's too much bad energy there.

first of all, how do i prove anti-depressant problems

You dont have to PROVE it was anti-depressants that did this to you, only that you can not work. They don't care WHY you can't; you just have to be able to demonstrate that you cannot.

disability i thought would be tricky for me.

first of all, how do i prove anti-depressant problems? second of all i seem

like i can function-- i dont really know whats going on, but i talk like i do.

i also go out about 2 times a week. its tough for me, but i have to do it.

third, once i leave i could never come back. so i want to make sure when i go.

i have been trying to create a new family through friends. its funny that you

say that. but, its proving very difficult. most people seem to be okay with

just lots casual friends and very focused on their needs and wants. i really

noticed this after college ended. most people either became this way or got

worse in this manner. im really trying though. i even emailed someone i

havent talked to in 3 years because she wasnt this way back then. but, i dont

know if she even checks that address anymore or if she is in town.

how do i prove i cant work and dont i have to find a job if im on disability. i am also worried that it will be hard to find a job with disability on my record. its already going to be tough enough to explain why i was out of work for so long.

A doctor would have to say you can't work and give you a dx. If you can't work, you can't work. Having been on disability, assuming you get off it at some point, isn't that big a negative -- it happens to a lot of people. If you're on disability, it's assumed you can't work, but they like it if you eventually do some kind of work even if it's parttime. In my case, they said I'd never work again!!!

You have a long history, . Use it to your advantage to get some

money and get out of that madhouse.

I agree. If you've been to a doctor, and he knows what's up, have him fill out th edisabilty papers and get the ball rolling. You might be one of the lucky ones who gets approved right away, rather than going through the appeals process. If you've been out of commission for at least a year, you qualify to apply, and if you have enough working points, you should be able to collect enough money to live humbly and work a little bit. Your homelife isn't conducive to you getting better.

** You have a history of being too ill to work, right? You've seen

your doctor and told him/her of how you feel. Your family sees how you

feel. They can vouch to a doctor and on the application.

You are not obligated to tell anyone you ever collected disability. If

they ask, tell you traveled around the countrey during this time.
