Guest guest
Thanks for the info. I will definitely mention that tomorrow at my appointment. I was afraid I was going to fall asleep today while I was driving because I was so exhausted. I can fall asleep, I just can't stay asleep and once I wake that's it, I'm up. But I do think that the alcohol would help in that cocktail! LOL. Re: venting Not sleeping can induce fibromyalgia in healthy people. Just think about what not sleeping does to people like us! It's really important that you talk to your rheumy about a " sleep cocktail " (which means a combo of drugs, on alcohol, LOL). Usually it's a muscle relaxant like Flexeril, a restless leg drug, a low level tricyclic antidepressant all taken just prior to getting in to bed to help us get a necessary DEEP level of sleep (which is really hard when you are in pain). In your case, there's also some anxiety and excitement about your upcoming appointment, of course. But I find this medication combo really helps me sleep. I still get up 4 times or so during the night, but it's better than before.
