Guest guest
Aphelia, You may enjoy the various comments that people have made over this years on this video of our cats jumping around in packaging paper: Because my husband entitled the video with a line from a Wallace s poem, " A crinkled paper makes a brilliant sound, " the comments are almost entirely about the mysterious but pleasing reactions some people find induced in themselves by these sorts of sounds, for example: " for some reason when i hear paper crumbling i get gosse bumps and i feel weird pulses shooting up to my head. It feels really good though and it makes me feel relaxed. " " Haha. I'm with ya there, buddy. I don't know how it happens, but I'm so calm and relaxed when I hear the sound. Plus, with all the " tingling " and " goosebumps " going up my head, it makes me feel sleepy. " " it makes me shiver in a good way " Steph > > Posted by: " Aphelia " aphelia@... ailehpa > Date: Thu Sep 15, 2011 12:13 pm ((PDT)) > > As I posted in my newbie intro, I've also have trigger sounds that cause the opposite emotions than the negative ones. The crinkle of tissue paper is one, the crackle of cellophane. Those things are probably negative triggers for some of you These cause a calmness and unexplained joy in me. It's a pleasant departure from the usual hello of rage and then hopeless despair.does anyone else experience this sort of thing? >
