Guest guest
You and your daughter are one of the many that are traveling the road with Lyme. It is a lonely place to be. Family and friends, albeit loving ones can't seem to comprehend the magnitude of the devastation this disease takes on a body if they don't have it, nor do their friends.Waching a child suffer is heart wrenching. So many think a course of antibiotics will solve the problem and presto you are up and running again. Most medical communities are as ignorant as the general public. I use to volunteer at hospice, old age homes, hospitals, etc. You saw it, with the nursing program how people rally to the sick, flowers, meals, offers to care for the children. With Lyme, it is as if it is "all in your head". Sorry for all the sorrows. It is nice to find a group where you can make a post and someone will help pick up your spirits, or provide you with that bit of information you so very much were looking for, or you see your symptoms be lessenes in another persons treatment. Try the various groups, one may serve you better than another, or a combination thereof. There is also a group for parents with children that have Lyme. The old moderator, Thane from this group started a group as well that is easy to obtain information from, completely different than this group. Best wishes to you and your daughter on this journey to find healing.
