Guest guest
This is GREAT news, and so confirming for me. I have been struggling with whether or not to chelate with my son, who has improved so much already on nutrient supplements he was deficient in per testing. Once I added selenium and glutathione, the improvements were nearly immediate, and SO wonderful! He isn't recovered, yet, but my gosh, the difference in him is amazing. Others that see him do not realize there is anything " suspicious " about him--they do not realize he has autism. We, of course, can tell, but it's so great to have strangers not know that there is anything out of the ordinary! Anyway . . . as I continue to trudge down this path, seemingly along, as my DAN! doc isn't as flexible with my decisions as I'd appreciate, I am seeking to learn more about TTFD. Can you tell me how you used it, where you got it, and what standard dosage is? I realize each child is different, etc. but I am very interested in learning more about TTFD. I did a quick search on the internet, but couldn't find anything too definitive. Thanks so much . . . ~Diane Mom to Aaren, age 3, ASD Just my .02 here on the DAN! approach but my son is recovered and we did not use chelating agents. Dr. McCandless recovered him with nutrients and with TTFD as a natural detox aid. We used many nutrients per his testing and GSH, TTFD etc to help his body begin to function properly so he could naturally detox. From many parents I have heard that their DAN! doctors also follow this path first. I believe that the individualized program of nutrients was key for my son as a tool to get him metabolically balanced so that he could have a shot at detoxing naturally. I think it is different for every child so no approach works for all but this seems to be used widely and key to progress for many I have met and spoken with in the last 2 years.
