Guest guest
Is there a clear-cut way to tell if your child is simply daydreaming or having absence seizures, besides the EEG... my son has severe ADD. When he's involved in something HE'S interested in, we never see him stop & stare. However, when attending to something boring, like school work, he's off, seemingly daydreaming. He will sometimes " catch " himself at it and go back to work, other times, he's more staring out the window than doing school lessons. If he reads a book when he's eating a snack, he never has a staring spell. Without something to keep him focused, he's daydreaming to the point of not eating his food! Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of thing. I would definitely think seizures if I saw him ever stop in the middle of something enjoyable and stand still staring. Thanks.
