Guest guest
Herbs of Grace certainly used to supply a custom-made capsule service - and would also do powders made up to your prescriptions as well. I haven't used them for a year or two though. Their phone no. is 01638 712123 Robyn > > Hi all, > > Thanks for the replies to my previous query on capsules. Guest guest
I have found these books (there's 2 volumes and you really need both) extremely helpful and I still consult them on a very regular basis. There are detailed entries on each herb and also information which helps with understanding the chinese diagnostic framework from a more western perspective. Guest guest
Hi Jean-Christophe, I find Holmes very useful, but got Tierra's " Chinese traditional herbal medicine " (Vol1) to help me understand the concepts used. It's very clearly written. I also got Ross's " Combining western herbs and chines medicine " , which is excellent, and really tries to connect the different traditions and the biomedical approach, but covers far less herbs and it doesn't explain the concepts used. (you can access sample chapter on http://www.jeremyross.com/booksHerbal.asp) Hope this helps and that you're keeping well! Guest guest
Hi, Thanks for your opinions and suggestions as to other books to look in as well as Holmes. I shall investigate. I want to use western herbs but I'd like to find a more holistic / energetic / vitalistic (?) framework to work within for diagnosis & prescription than the one I have been taught, which I've always felt was very " symptomatically orientated " . Will get in touch with herbs of Grace. Thanks for contact details. J-Christophe
