Guest guest
Glad it worked for you.. hope you can use that in the future when things get rough. As I said on another thread, we don't always know what someone is going through. She may not be throwing things... she may be trying to move heavy things--and may have back problems so she has to set them down often. She may be using a cane or a walker (I use my walker around the house, but don't take it out of the house with me because I can't lift it into the car)... you never know why she is making all that noise. Of course she COULD also be throwing things around... but I like to try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Most times people aren't trying to cause a scene or be rude. --------------------------------------------------------- ♥ " Hope is more than a word; it's a state of being. I got out of my lease with my hyperacusis diagnosis, but now I have to move by May 31, and I have to find a new rental ASAP. I just got overwhelmed. Then the upstairs girl got to dropping bricks and stomping around, or whatever she does that is so damn noisy - how can one person make such noises constantly? I mean - really, I don't get it. Does she throw everything she owns or drop it all without a care in the world? I don't make a sound when I walk around, and I certainly don't drop things on the floor. Maybe it's because I have an understanding of what it might sound like to my downstairs neighbor. But I digress... I was having a panic attack. So my friend texted me, and said to get outside. Just go walk around for a while, which I normally don't do. I normally sit there and freak out and cry. So I got up and went outside for a walk. It worked really well - I even met a nice girl on my block with cats in her yard (and I love cats), we and ended up becoming friends and talking for well over an hour. She told me about her boyfriend and I told her about my noise issues. We both come from the same state, and got along really well. So I escaped, just for this time, and it worked. I'm trying not to stress out too hard about finding an apartment. I found my current noise-hell apartment in a day, I know I can find my next one just as fast. Please tell me to stop worrying too hard about it. x
Guest guest
She's not obviously disabled, from what I can tell. She just has a heavy footstep - I mean, she sounds like a 200 lb man stomping around, back and forth over and over. It's ridiculous. I can almost tell what she's going at all times - she tosses her shoes off her feet when she walks in the door (which slams so loud it shakes the walls around me). She paces back and forth about 20 times getting ready in the morning. Drags her kitchen stool across the tile floor repeatedly. She's not disabled, she's obnoxious and inconsiderate, even after all my complaints. > > > ** > > > > > > I had a near panic attack last night. Guest guest
Well... like I said in my other post, I don't look disabled either but I am. I look like a perfectly normal 26 year old.. but am far from it. Just adding another perspective--you never know. --------------------------------------------------------- ♥ " Hope is more than a word; it's a state of being. Guest guest
Regardless of her condition, the noise she makes is unbearable for me, and I have to get out. > > > > > > > ** > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I had a near panic attack last night.
