Guest guest
i also want to go after the doctors that took me off these drugs in a week each time. from what catherine says the damage is worse then it would have been if i would have slowly tapered. i wonder if that is covered in the class action suits or not. it would also set presendence for other doctors to not do it that way anymore. You would have to sue the doctors individually, that wouldn't be part of any class action lawsuit. Have you talked to a malpractice lawyer?? There are statutes of limitations on these things. Check it out before you lose your right to sue them. There are NO class action lawsuits against Paxil -- they are mass tort litigation suits. The original class action suit we filed in 2001, in which I was one of the original 35 plaintiffs, was never certified as a class action so it was remanded to individual states and then lumped together as a mass tort case. The first 5 cases goes to trial in May. Who knows what will happen after that? I'm sure GSK wants to see how they will fare in a courtroom. If they get hammered big time for their corruption, lies, deceit, and conspicuous greed and disregard for human life, then they wll probably settle the other cases pretty quickly. I've heard some experts say that the paxil cases will rival tobacco litigation. Remember, we're all collateral damage in their devious and diabolical scheme to make as much money as possible, even if a few of us have to die or be permanently damaged. Guest guest
thanks glitterari, i would think paxil would be the first because its effects are so harsh and noticable. but, prozac can do some good damage as well. i also want to go after the doctors that took me off these drugs in a week each time. from what catherine says the damage is worse then it would have been if i would have slowly tapered. i wonder if that is covered in the class action suits or not. it would also set presendence for other doctors to not do it that way anymore. j > In a message dated 1/5/05 10:16:50 AM Mountain Standard Time, > grabar5@y... writes: > > > > -- > > oh i thought you thought i meant just a regular lawsuit. but, there is no > > class action suit for prozac? > > j > > > > > Not yet, there isn't, but I suspect there will be one soon. > > > " Blind Reason " > a novel of pharmaceutical intrigue > Think your antidepressant is safe? Guest guest
-- i have about a month since i was off paxil for two years. if i were to do this would i contact someone in my home town, that would be my guess. it did also say no longer then 6 years too. i would feel more comfortable filing this when more information about taking someone off a drug that fast comes out. i dont know--- it seems pretty risky at this point with only suicides and murders seemily being taken as personal lawsuits. but, for those doctors to take me off in a week, esp. when i was on prozac for a year (but that was about 3 years ago). j - In Withdrawal_and_Recovery , glitterari@a... wrote: > In a message dated 1/5/05 12:23:24 PM Mountain Standard Time, > grabar5@y... writes: > > > > do you know the statue of limitations on suing doctors? > > > > It goes state by state.
