Guest guest
Hi and everyone else!! I got your message and I know it is very difficult for you in the recovery centre at the moment - perhaps your rock bottom? However we have a saying 'you have to reach rock bottom before things get better'. I know you miss Toby so much and you spoke of your mum.........I think she wants you home when you are much better - not so much for her sake but for yours. I imagine you are getting to the nitty gritty of things at the moment - I know it is tough, but please think of yourself as lucky to have the support of the centre and everyone here wishing you a speedy recovery. I guess we all get impatient with our recovery as it appears so very different, and perhaps socially unacceptable, to recover from the effect of poisoning our systems with mind drugs as opposed to recovering from a bout of flu. Surely we all have much more patience with the flu and its symptoms and patience itself must aid recovery? I am not suggesting an acceptance here - but trying to express that we need a sort of kindness towards ourselves and recover from each stage of the withdrawal in this way. Learn to love oneself! I am not too good at expressing myself but hope this may touch a nerve with at least one person. Love to all who are battling with their emotions and fears.
