Guest guest
I wanted to thank you all for replying back to me. I had no choice but to go & I did try to dispute the doctor I went to but my employer claims they have had the company that sets up the appt. check him out. I did check with an attorney & was told I had to go to whomever they sent me to. It's done & over I'm guessing they will suggest I go back to work because that's usually how these things go with my employer when a person is sent for an IME. For some reasons these doctors override my doctors that I've seen for years, thats the whole point of doing it. My employer is self insured with ERISA so can do pretty much what they want. I was there a total of about an hour spent 40 minutes with the doctors they didn't give me any opportunity to ask anything. My sig. other came to take notes they said he could " observe " but if he spoke or intervened in anyway the appt. would be over & deemed inconclusive. I'm sore & exhausted today my Rheumy is out of town so I'm going to try to get into my regular Internist just so something is documented. Again thanks to all!
