Astragalus - encysting?

So we just purchased 5 acres of heavily forested land. (Hey, Jim,....'man land')And we will be spending a lot of time, blazing trails, dirt biking, etc. Maybe crazy for a Lymie, but life does go on.So, I was going to mix up a bunch of bottles of rose geranium repellent and I was going to put the family on astragalus. However, doing a 'brief' amount of research I wonder if astragalus could cause encysting?Here's what Mountain Rose Herbs says about it: "Herbaceous perennial. Direct seed in early spring, good cold soil germinator. Prefers full sun, average soil and good drainage. Chinese tonic herb, with immune enhancing qualities. Herb improves function of liver, lungs, and spleen.50 seeds/pkt"What do you all think about planting astragalus and teasel around the property - would it even help?I'm also thinking about getting one of those sound wave machines that chase animals away......what do you think?Lots of questions, :-)
