Guest guest
Denial, Wild Oats has a great bread called " Ezekiel Bread " . It's made from sprouted grains and because of the fiber one slice has 1 point. I just love the raisin bread and consider it a vital part to my being able to stay OP. I have it with 1 T of lite pb in the afternoon as a snack, but you could put 1 T of brummel and brown on it and it would then be a 2 point breakfast. Guest guest
Denial- Sounds to me like you need some protein for breakfast! Protein is what slows the metabolism of the carbohydrates in the meal, and thus makes us feel full longer. Milk is mostly carbohydrates with just a little protein. The chocolate kind has even more carbs, and since there's a lot of sugar in it, they're not the kind of carbs that stick with you and keep a steady blood sugar level. Someone mentioned a great low points bread--Ezekial bread, I think. This'd be a more complex carb, and would make you feel full longer. If you go to a natural foods store to get some, you might also look for " Manna " bread. It's usually in the freezer and the points vary between one and two per serving, depending on the flavor. I like the fruit and nut or the carrot raisin, but those are two points per serving, so you might like the other lower points ones better. I'd spread a Tablespoon of peanut butter on either one for a 2-3 point breakfast that should stick with you longer than a glass of milk. There's also cottage cheese, which if you like it, is a great protein food, and very low in points. I actually mix it with a low point fruit flavored yogurt for breakfast. The texture's a little different, but it really sticks with me. Oatmeal is also a great hunger-quencher for breakfast. When I have time, I often eat an egg white omelet with toast or make a smoothie with 1/2 a frozen banana, ice, milk or yogurt, and a scoop of one point protein powder. I buy Genisoy Ultra XT natural flavor protein powder. It has LOTS of protein, and sticks with me all morning. You could even make a chocolate milk/banana smoothie with your Nesquik and some protein powder! I hope some of these suggestions are useful to you! Amyzan > Help with my breakfast please!! I usually just have a glass of choco milk (1 tbs Nesquick 1 pt. 8 oz. 2% low fat milk 3 pt.) Well now I have been getting very hungry later on!!! Waht are some really good muffins or breakfast breads that are really low in points say around 1-2 pts per serving.
