Hi Lena,As usual, so nicely put into words that make a lot of sense! To some, they may get peace of mind hearing test results, but how much peace is there with an incorrect Lyme test?  But certainly if one had symptoms, then gets the test to confirm it, now there is peace as he's also been given the key to getting treated... In these times, that is so important...

40 years is a long time to be patient with the allopathic doctors, I am sure glad you found your own way in the maze of Lyme life, it is something best done by all of us...  And after all, who are you today if you tell a doctor you have chronic Lyme?  Since most don't know what it is or don't believe in it, you all of a sudden have two heads... So, perhaps your lack of LLMD's and ND's was your good fortune...

But in its simplest form, it is killing pathogens, detoxing and supporting the body that does bring better health, there you have shown the way and it works!  This is not an easy journey, nor a short one, but it is one we all should consider doing since it makes the most sense...

I learned about faith from these groups... How often did I hear " you have to have faith " and then I finally did... Without faith, we are too afraid to try things that seem strange to us, but others have found works for them...

And your peace of mind shines through on how well you put things into words so others can understand that a journey is not just a journey, it is what we make of it... The one thing I always get from your writings is " Peace. "  :-)

You too be well,Jim

Re: Re: OT: testing, searchingHi Jim,

Someone once said, " What wonderful songs I would have sung, had I not spent my life tuning my lute. "

I could as easily say " What years I wasted seeking definitive tests, when I could have been getting on with getting well. "

Testing is good if it brings peace of mind and a clear course of treatment, but with Lyme, it can put a Lymie into a place of uncertainty and medical authority dependancy that can delay getting down to some proven general protocols and reducing the path load, whatever those pathogens might later turn out to be.

I'd given mainstream medicine 40 years to sort out my symptoms. Finally, when their diagnoses and horrific prescription options just felt like the wrong route for me, I finally got scanned by frequencyfoundation.com, started a Rife regimen, herxed conclusively enough to confirm that yes, I indeed had Lyme, and committed to simply killing the critters, all of 'em. I also followed other proven killing protocols and read for sensible consensus in the groups. Later, perhaps a little too much later, I learned the essential importance of detoxing got up to speed on that. Eventually, I may get serious about labelling the few lingering strays, but my general sweep toward health and vigorous living again has been very rewarding.

This is just my subjective experience, brought about by a lack of available LLMDs, NDs, etc. Had they been near, I might have tested ad infinitum, trying to track progress, getting encouraged or discouraged by shifting numbers, differing labs, shifting results. It's easy to get overwhelmed by details and lose the momentum of the big picture. And the big picture is, that if you kill enough critters, and support your organs with enough detox, sooner or later your immune system can reassert itself.

In drawing, it's hard to draw a really smooth line if you look only at your pencil point. You have to look far forward of the line on the paper, to let your hand follow where your vision wants it to go. (this is tru in driving, as well) There's a certain leap of faith required, and risk, but generally you learn to trust your own eye-hand coordination, your own gut-level response, and you get better results, with more peace of mind.

That's the way I've addressed my Lyme journey and it has really paid off for me. I realize that this wouldn't suit everyone's temperament or situation; just adding my 2¢ worth.

Be well,Léna

Hi Just for reference, Lyme testing is highly inaccurate... Many who have Lyme getnegative tests, and some who don't have Lyme, showed positive in testing...Testingresults should not be trusted unless they are positive and there are also Lyme symptoms...

The best way to determine Lyme is via symptoms... Typically 7 - 10 symptomsor more is a good indication one may have Lyme... Living in a highly infectedarea, increases the odds, but many who live in low infection areas also get Lyme...

Herxes are also a good indication of Lyme... And as long as anyone has symptomsof Lyme, they still have Lyme... Take care,Jim
