Guest guest
Dear J: As you know, I've been off Paxil for 7 years and I STILL have that sensitivity. It's why I stay home most of the time, except for the hour a day I got out to go to the store or the post office. The more I think about what Paxil did to me, the madder I get. asked me to post my story. I'll have to see if I can find the court document I prepared that forced GSK to label their poison with that euphemistic label of "discontinuation syndrome." For our recent court case, I had to re-read my disability decision -- 6 weeks after my last hit of Paxhell, I was declared permanently disabled with PTSD and Major Depression. 18 months after that I was dx'd with brain damage. Taking Paxil literally ruined my life, my career, and nearly my marriage. Anyone who believes that this medicine is a benefit has only to experience what I and most others on this board have to understand that this drug should never have been approved and put on the market, and should be taken off immediately. We know now that GSK LIED about this drug, and we also know that there is not one iota of scientific evidence to support the chemical imbalance theory -- it was all a ploy to get people hooked on these drugs and rake in the money. I heard through the grapevine that stenogirl was upset that I made a comment about the truck driver on meds. To be blunt, I wouldn't get into a car with someone on these drugs if my life depended on it, anymore than I would get into a car with someone on crack, heroin, or pot. I know what these drugs do to your mind, and knowing that, it's almost understandable how a mother could drown her children, smash their heads in with a rock, or shoot them in the head. Then we have the school and workplace shootings -- every one of which was committed by someone on these drugs. I also would never hire someone on these drugs -- it's pretty easy to tell who takes them -- just look at their eyes; they look like the eyes of someone who's snorted a line of blow. How many people on this board talked about fantasies of wanting to drive their car into a tree while on these drugs? Too many to count, so no, I don't think anyone driving an 18-wheeler should be popping mind-altering, addictive drugs and getting on the road. A pilot is grounded and can't fly a plane while under the influence of these drugs, so why should someone be allowed to fly a car. Yeah, these drugs are wonderful!!! Just read the newspaper; read about the weird murder-suicides, the fathers who kill their entire families, it happens everyday, somewhere. Every single person I know who committed suicide took these drugs. We now know that the drug companies KNEW that these drugs induced suicide and homicide. All the parents I know with dead children were forced to medicate their kids; you know, it's all about the money -- schools get $500 a kid for every one that's doped. Now the kids are dead. That's lovely. What real value do these drugs have in our society if they cause people to commit such heinous acts, destroy the lives of its citizens, all in the name of egregious profit and greed? Why should any of us be on this board trying to recover from the damage done by this legal dope? It's insane. We have doctors trying to intimidate their patients into taking these drugs, and denying that the patient is even suffering from the side effects that are so well known by almost everyone except the medical profession. Remember folks, the doctor works for YOU! You are not their slave or subordinate. You have a choice, and if a doctor bullies you, vote with your feet!!!! I will never ever in a million years apologize for my stance on these drugs. I wouldn't associate with anyone on them, I wouldn't date anyone on them, and I sure as hell wouldn't stay married to anyone on them, anymore than I would befriend, date, or marry a crackhead -- in some respect a crackhead might be a safer bet. Are there people who don't suffer every single side effect listed? Sure. Then they eventually come down with some other illness, diabetes, cancer, stroke, heart problems and never put the two together -- that maybe it was the drug that caused these things. I've said this publicly in interivews, the day will come when the SSRIs will be revealed to have been the biggest pharmaceutical blunder ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public. With a little luck and a whole lot of work, I pray for the day when these drugs are taken off the market and the pharmaceutical companies have to pay out billions in damages to the people they misled. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people, and with even a scintilla of luck, some of these jackasses will wind up in prison for fraud and murder!!! One can only hope!!! Guest guest
but, he is really proud to be a pharmacist. maybe, i will say something to him when i talk to him alone. but, nobody takes me very seriously. Pharmacists and doctors are the foot soldiers of the pharmaceutical industry. It's not their fault -- they've been brainwashed, probably watch too much reality tv and network propaganda to understand that they are the purveyors of poison. What happened to you and me, and others like us, will change us forever. It doesn't have to be a bad thing -- yes, my former life was rent asunder, but the sheer will to survive will force you, as it did me, to carve out another life for yourself -- a life with meaning and purpose. Every day I'm horrified at the level of propaganda that exists in our culture -- the Scientific Dictatorship, if you will -- where the average person doesn't even have the guts to say "no" to their doctor when they are pushing dangerous poisonous pills that do not cure anything but rather destroy you from the inside out. How did we get to this place where doctors are gods and we MUST do whta they say when they are nothing but whores for Big Pharma and don't even know as much as some of us do about the dangers of these drugs. I've met a few pharmacists who WERE enlightened, like the one who told me 7 years ago that Paxil was nothing but some Nazi mind control experiment. Without his advice, I would've been in worse shape than I was from taking this god-awful fraudulent poison passed off as a medication. I'm almost at the point where I'm not sorry this happened to me because it was a massive wake-up call, and now I see just how people are manipulated by the media, and brainwashed into believing that the pharmaceutical industry is there to hlep us, when in fact they could give a goddamn about helping us as long as they are raking in the dough on addictive medications. You have to be a real survivor -- not a survivor on a contrived b.s. reality show. Surviving this ordeal is a lot harder than trooping through the jungle and having to eat bugs!!! This survival show is about realizing that most of what we're told is a lie. Once you've accepted that you will have a paradigm shift and the world will really open up to you. You will no longer be satisfied with pap, propaganda, and the watered down news. Soldier on!!!! "Blind Reason" a novel of pharmaceutical intrigue Think your antidepressant is safe? Think again. Guest guest
you'll love this glitterari, i have met a few new friends through a friend and guess what they are-- pharmacists. i almost said something last night to one of them. but, ofcourse that isnt going to make a difference. one actually knows my story and it doesnt seem to bother him. he is a nice guy, but he did not correlate that he distrubutes what caused my situation. or maybe he just thinks its a rouge case and medicines help people. but, he is really proud to be a pharmacist. maybe, i will say something to him when i talk to him alone. but, nobody takes me very seriously. part of that could be that i surpress everything so it seems like everything is okay. even though i feel so horrible inside. i had to do it because nobody would have hung out with me if i didnt. but, now its a little better so i could hang out and say me symptoms and act how i feel without seeming like a total nutjob. glitterari, i think what your doing is great. but, for me im just trying to get through this life. im doing the right things now, and such. but, its really just about getting it over with. im just trying to numb myself to the point i dont care anymore. so that i dont get worked up. its the best avenue for me that i have found. whenever, i try it makes the situation worse. i used going out, tv, video games as a distraction. if i would not have i think i would have lost it. it caused a lot of pain. but, i guess i wasnt ready to give up anything and it distracted me. i think im ready to live a life like you now. the agitation isnt so bad that i need a distraction and i cant keep up with my friends. its the way it is.... it took me almost 2 years to realize that. and im going to get chastized by my parents and others in the future i know it as a slacker, a non-fighter, untapped potential. but, it is what it is. j > Dear J: > As you know, I've been off Paxil for 7 years and I STILL have that > sensitivity. Guest guest
i know drugs are used to help people slightly, but never cure them. thats bad business. but, the fact is that some drugs do help people, so when talking about it with say a pharmacist. they will always come back with that line. i guess i was looking for what to say in that instance. Yes, antibiotics will cure a bad infection, but for the most part most drugs don't work. That's a fact. They usually cause worse problems than the reason for which they were prescribed. That leads to more drugs, which leads to more illness, and so the cycle goes. The people I know who go to doctors on a regular basis and take meds of various kinds for physical ailments never get well. They are always sick with one thing of another, most of which is caused by the drugs they take. Most drugs are petro-chemicals. Your body does not process them. They cause disease instead. In a life or death emergency, say with a staph or strep infection, I would consider taking antibiotics, but you couldn't get anything else in me with what I know about the drug industry. A really astute pharmacist will know that most drugs are dangerous and not safe at all. They are a necessary evil, and part of the capitalistic wheel. The more I research the more disheartened I become that our medical system is based on lies and bad drugs. There are so many other treatments that are safe, but the FDA will not allow them to be advertised because Big Pharma has a monopoly on cures for everything, which really don't cure anything at all and only lead to more illness and death. Look at Vioxx. That's a perfect example, or any of the other drugs that were taken off the market in the last two years because they caused heart attacks, strokes, liver failure. Sheesh. Guest guest
Dear : Getting mad is often a great motivator. It's NOT your fault what happened to you. IT'S THE DRUG!!!! I guess I had the benefit of knowing right away that it was the drug, and my anger kept me going, starting lawsuits, writing a book, helping as many people as I could to understand just how bad Paxil really is. I never for one second blamed myself. You should see my medical files -- they are filled with the graphic language I used to address the quack who gave me this drug -- I called her eveyr name in the book, and was proud of it! I was so outraged that this happened to me, that my life was destroyed, that I nearly lost everything I'd worked my whole life for, all because some pharmaceutical giant could make a lot of money. I was particularly outraged that it was all a lie -- everything they told me about this drug was a bold-faced lie. And I HATE being lied to, so that pissed me off the most. Feeling sorry for yourself won't help. Anger can be very constructive if used wisely. It's what made me determined to get this drug off the market. Big Pharma doesn't scare me; in fact, I can't wait to see them face to face so I can tell them what I REALLY think of them. Filthy greedy pigs that they are!!!
