Guest guest
For a number of years now I have been sending a standard letter to my patient's GP (with their permission), saying I am treating the person, that they have a copy of their treatment plan, and that I am happy to send the information about treatment to the GP if required. Today, for the first time, I have had a phone call asking for such information from one of my patient's GPs. I am very happy that my treatment is well researched and is not contraindicated nor will it interact with the 15 drugs he is taking. My problem is that I don't know the best way to present my treatment plan to the GP. Has anyone got any advice or perhaps a template for this? I am excited at the opportunity to show that we know what we are doing, and feel that I want to present myself in the most professional way. Help would be much apprecaited. (Actually, I feel very foolish that I had not considered that having offered the service to GP's I might actually need to know how to do it well. A salutary lesson I think).
