Guest guest
Felice, Thanks for sharing pictures of your cats. I love cats. I have two, Cody and . Cody is allowed to go outside but we won't let out. He's only 6 months old. Poor Cody has gotten hurt in fights and ended up at the vets 3 times last summer. We tried to keep him in but it doesn't work. He's too used to going out. I'll try and scan a picture of them for you. Guest guest
, Love to see kitty pictures. I am so glad I live at the end of a street. 1 1/2 miles to the end of this road and it is dirt. No houses close by and hardly ever see strange cats. My cats aren't really fighters anyway. Except Hopeless who picks on strange dogs but leaves cats alone! Here's a picture of Suzy Q. Guest guest
Hi , I'm Judy, and live by Seattle. Yeah, another West Coaster! I think you're the third. The West is the best - just an opinion, now! I've had RSD from a R ankle fx in 7/96. It's now spreading to the left ankle and R arm. I've been on SSD for 3.5 years and just sent in my paperwork on my first review. I did not apply for SSD until close to 1 yr after my injury. Five months after my injury, I returned to work ( as an RN ) and lasted about 2 months. I was approved first time. SSD allows you a certain amount of time for a " trial period " for people to return to work, though I don't recall how long. Payments start 5 months after your date of injury and are retro-active. I didn't know I was approved, and went to the bank to close my account and join my spouse's credit union from work (Boeing). I didn't have much in there and told them I wanted cash. I didn't know why the commotion. Turns out SSD had direct deposited my retroactive $ to the tune of almost $7,ooo.oo much to my surprise. So, I think you should have a pretty good chance of approval. You are lucky enough to also have a knowledgeable doc, and having to use SCS & MS pump for pain control should be more than enough proof of your disability. I wish you the best of luck! Take care, Judy

Guest guest
Dear cynthia, I LMAO when i read this post. This is the second time today that i posted to the same person cz i didn't read all the posts before i responded. The other reason i laughed so hard was because my dr said the exact same thing to me. " Your one sick puppy. " LOL> they must have went to the same medical school.!!!!!!! I'm not sure about the implants and the mri. I can tell you this though, when i had the mri's done, i have my moms wedding ring (my mom passed away 3 years ago) on at all times, i don't know if i could even get it off. when i was in the mri machine, even though they were doing my knee, everytime the machine took a pic, my ring felt like it was clicking on my finger. I don't know if i broke the machine with the ring, but it was definatly a weird feeling. Make absoulte sure you tell them you have implants. They will ask anyway, you'll have to fill out a form before hand, but remind the tech thats doing the mri, and if you feel a clicking, it didn't do any damage to my finger, no blisters, pain, or anything, just a weird clicking when the pics were being taken. Thanks for the laugh about the puppy. I forgot all about that till i read your post. You really put a big smile on my face. I love you. Guest guest
, Glad to bring you a smile today! What I think they worry about is the magnetic field of the MRI screws up the computer running my pump and stimulator. The manufacturer gave me a box with 2 hefty magnets in it in case I ever needed to shut off my stimulator and didn't have a remote control handy. I guess I'm supposed to put it over the brain of the stimulator and it shuts it down. BY THE WAY.......... I would love to hear a head count from members of this list on how many of you have an SCS and how many have morphine pumps built in? I would really appreciate your responses. in Alaska Fobi pouch and pann. 9-13-99 start: 325 lbs. now: 248 lbs. Thankful for every pound. Re: rsd > Dear cynthia, > I LMAO when i read this post.
