Guest guest
Hi Everyone, i was hoping for a few suggestions. i have an upcoming doctor's visit on the 20th.in the past i don't feel i ever seem to get the point across in the way that i'd like.i would really like to make this a good visit and hopefully feel like i have gotten somewhere (I did say hopefully, I'm not truly convinced this is possible). So anyway any suggestions on how I can prepare for my visit. Are there any magic words to let her know that my pain is still here and not going anywhere. You would think she might have figured that out after 5 years.Ha Ha. They never sem to get it. Thanks to all for support, this group is so valuable to me I finally have a place to go. Warmly Kera-
Guest guest
Kera, One thing I do before going to the doctor is write down everything I want to say. This gives me time to think what I want to say instead of relying on my memory at the visit. As far as magic words......hmm... Try telling the doctor that you need some help. When I make an appointment with my doctor and I know she is busy I don't say I want an appointment, I say I need an appointment, or " the doctor wants to see me. " I haven't tried telling my doctor this yet, but I tend to try it next week. So far she doesn't seem interested in my pain because of my weight.. She probably thinks it is my fault anyway so don't complain. Good luck at the doctor and I hope both of us can get through to our doctors! I think it is an uphill battle though.
