If I find an attached tick, I fully intend to have it analyzed. I think that could be more accurate than Lyme testing in humans. And I don't need to wait for antibodies to develop in order for them to be detected in a blood sample. I luckily have not had the occasion to use them yet (hope I never do!), but it's nice to know I'm covered if I should need them. They were inexpensive, and are an improvement on the pointy, long, tick tweezers (which I had), that can segment or rupture or even just agitate the tick, causing it to spill more of its gut contents into the bloodstream.
