I don't have an answer to your question, though I can tell you that I had a rash on my forehead that went away when I started washing my face with Cetaphil and putting nothing else whatsoever on my forehead. I use a natural moisturizer on the rest of my face, but not on my forehead.

But I'd like to ask you--you mention estrogen/progesterone making your babesia symptoms worse. Would you mind sharing--what are your babesia symptoms? I'm trying to figure out whether or not I have it (without going through the expensive and inconclusive tests). I want to coil for coinfections if I have them, but I don't want to spend any more time on the coil than necessary, so I'd like to have some idea of the symptoms people suffer from with the various infections. I have the online list of symptoms, but that's no substitute for hearing from people who actually have the infection. Thanks.

OT: acne off antibiotics

I got off antibiotics on August 2, and since then I have developed worse and worse acne. It's so bad! I tried to control it by taking hormone balancing herbs (vitex, dong quai) since my testosterone/estrogen ratio tends to be high, even though I am on the low side on both. However, having more estrogen and progesterone just made my Babesiosis symptoms worse. Just wondering if anyone else got bad acne after getting off antibiotics. I'd always had mild acne before antibiotics, and antibiotics had the nice side effect of eliminating my acne, but now that I'm off them it's worse than ever. -

My 22yr. old daughter just did 6 weeks of strong herbal antibiotics which when she was done her jaw line broke out in a cystic type acne that she isn't used to. I'm suspecting she had some encysting going on, even though we did use some cyst busters--maybe not enough--and that caused extra bacteria when they came open.

My doc, an asst to Dr. K in Seattle, suggested a product on Amazon called Detox Deodorant--it can be used underarms or other places--it is supposed to draw the toxins out thru the skin! We'll see how it works!

you may consider seing an expereinced Dr of Chinese medicine. Acne is a

particular " pattern " in TCM, Antibiotics are said to be COLD in TCM.. so this

will make sence to a chinese doctor. You must mention about Lyme (Dampness ).. i

was fortunate to meet a OMD (doctor of oriental medicine who is LYme literate)

here in California. ..
