Thanks Heidi but my son symptoms go way beyond the OCD, in fact they are the least of his issues right now.

My son tested negative for Bartonella on the Fry labs test.

Sorry, to butt in here, but OCD is quite successfully rid all over the forums.

If you search, you will find it. My children also had horrendous OCD that was

actually quite easily rid as far as symptoms go, but will return if the

anti-bacterials are not given long-term. Inositol is just a B vitamin. Likely

the bacteria interferes with the body making the Inositol. Everyone's body is

suppose to make this, and usually the microflora play a big part in making all B

vitamins. Inositol is difficult to get the dose correct. It will rid symptoms

of OCD, but often will cause anger as a side effect. Also, it is just a

band-aide, whereas anti-bacterials can rid it. I have seen so many success

stories from ridding OCD by using anti-bacterials.

I personally feel it's caused by Bartonella, but the treatment for PANDAS is

similar, so it may not matter what you call the cause of it. The important

thing is to use antibacterials long-term. Some get relief overnight (not

kidding), some take months. But, I am telling you, there are lots of success

stories in ridding it. Some things that can rid it are: Cumanda, grapefruit

seed extract given the same day with cod liver oil, Zithromax, Resveratrol, and

there are more. But basically, you may have to also support the body's immune

system and digestion and liver function, etc. to get whatever anti-bacterial you

choose, to work. Having their body work well is part of the problem. You may

also need to replenish the microflora so that they have the correct microflora

to make the Inositol. I know that Mindlinx can, but I don't know which other

ones also will. Thus, if you have an OCD issue, realize that so many have had

success at ridding it, that the odds are you can to. You can google " OCD forum "

to find some postings. I will tell you this, it's amazing to have your children

no longer have it. It's down-right phenomenal.

As far as antibodies, realize that many report antibodies and allergies leaving

when they treat for pathogens and toxins, so somehow they are connected. Likely

the particular food one is allergic to is also representative of their specific

pathogens and toxins. I don't know which goes with which, but there does seem

to be a connection. When lots on the forums report the allergies went away on

their own when they treated for pathogens and toxins, this tells me there is a

connection. I believe measles is reportedly connected to myelin antibodies.

They have similar protein markers. This could be why so many report autism

symptoms developing after the MMR. I also read that wheat has similar protein

markers to myelin. Thus, any one of the three, could trigger antibodies against

the other two, theoretically. Of course, we have all these theories, and not

sure yet what is really going on.

As much as Strep seems to be the cause of OCD and may be, Strep is also an

opportunistic infection like yeast, in that everyone has it, and it overgrows

when their immune system is weak. Thus, something else could have made one's

immune system weak, allowing the Strep to take over. But, of course, Strep, in

itself, can cause lots of symptoms. Either way, my vote goes to trying

anti-bacterials long-term. People are reporting success with herbs, if one

chooses not to use antibiotics. I recovered my children without antibiotics, so

they are not necessary. But, I am also not against them, since some have had

great success with them. Just do something for the yeast they cause.

I haven't heard this kind of report from anyone else using LDN, though I did

read the study with positive results on th1 and th2 shifts. So the correction

of th1 and th2 immune shifts is only while on LDN? I've been watching LDN, but

I have still not seen enough anecdotal evidence to be convinced.

Christel,

I am reading backwards and saw this post. My daughter has horrible

handwriting/spacing/keeping in lines also. I look back at her handwriting from

years ago and it seemed so neat.

She has always had a low stress tolerance. She gets upset if she messes up or

can't do something right the first try. Which makes trying new things

difficult! I just keep wondering if she has a underlying strep problem.

Christel,I am reading backwards and saw this post. My daughter has horrible handwriting/spacing/keeping in lines also. I look back at her handwriting from years ago and it seemed so neat.She has always had a low stress tolerance. She gets upset if she messes up or can't do something right the first try. I think this is food allergies and metals poisoning. Soy and chocolate caused

bladder/bowel accidents in my son and OCD/stimming increased dramatically as

metals came out (brain and nervous system disturbance). Food infractions caused

my son to regress at school and revert to autistic behavior.

I really hope you consider doing Andy's ALA chelation protocol because it helped

my son a lot. We aren't done because I am hoping chelation will eventually

eliminate the allergies, but that is just hope...and of course I will never give

up hope.

Here are the things that have rid OCD symptoms at my house:

Mindlynx (likely a band-aide type of fix)

grapefruit seed extract given the same day as cod liver oil

Cumanda

Resveratrol

They would not have worked if other supplements and diet were not also in place.

The body needs to be working well in order for pathogen-killers to make

progress. The symptoms went away right away, down-right unbelievable! But, the

infectious agent has been treated for a year and we are just now starting to

believe we may be ridding it. Thus, it's a long-term type of thing to rid the

cause, but ridding the symptoms can be done very quickly.

I'm curious about the probiotics that don't have strep lines. How effective are they? My son started having well formed, brown stools after we started the new (with strep) probiotic twice a day and I'm am worried that his poop will go back to being unformed and yellow. The enzymes he's taking with meals, I'm sure, have also helped, but I guess I'm giving more credit to the probiotic for this change.However, I really need to find out if the strep lines are the reason for the increasing OCD and then go from there. My boy tested also with no Bifido which really made me angry because I had supplemented it with popular probiotic brands. My best guess is that they have a pathogen that eats certain microflora strands. My boy had a raging Bartonella infection and is still battling it, but he has been recovered for a couple of years now, just still dependent upon treatments to keep symptoms away. I never had him retested to see if he now has Bifidibacteria or not. He no longer takes probiotics either. After taking Mindlinx, he didn't seem to need them anymore.
