Guest guest
Sasmita,I give most antibiotics transdermally and throughout the day i give probiotics orally.Add kombucha/kefir to his drink all the time, use pills: VSL3, Mindlinx etc. and I give this electrolyte drink: coconut water (diluted) with a pinch of baking soda, and salt to keep his pH alkaline.Antiobiotic therapy is not fun... and yes, I have had to give nonstop Diflucan.Give lots of binders: Burbur, Pinella, CNS Neuro Antitox, Pectasol Chelation complex.PramilaTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Saturday, June 6, 2009 10:58:42 PMSubject: Antibiotics and Diflucan Hi All, Darci, I was browsing into your older posts about Antibiotics and Nystatin together and actually I am in need of some advise from you. My son is on Antibiotic therapy for Babesia for last 8 months(Azithromycin +Mepron) and also Artemisinin( 4caps 4 days on and 3 days off) and recently my DAN! Doctor asked me to give him Diflucan(2ml/ day) as a result to a suspected yeast flare up. After one week of Diflucan with ongoing Antibiotic, he is completely stimmy, constipated and can't sleep well at night. Can you please share how you went through this tough meds and what was the outcomes. I would also need your valuable advice. Thanks so much, Sasmita
Guest guest
Sasmita, The standart recommendation is to keep giving double dose of the most potent probiotics when treating with antibiotics. And it's very important to give probiotics with minimum 2 hours difference both way with antibiotics, otherwise it's just a waste of money. With our schedule, for example, it works like this: antibiotics right after breakfast and dinner and probiotics with lunch, or 40 minutes after lunch (to try and catch moment when there is minimum stomach acid). I use Klair probiotics and give my 4 year old and adult dose every day (he almost constantly on some herbal anti-septics, which also kill everything, not just patogens). You could use elevated doses of magnesium and/or vitamin C as temporary measure to relief constipation. And just my personal opinion (also how our DAN! does it always) - you need to give kid some breaks from antibiotics time to time, in order to let his body to rest some and restore intestinal flora's balance. Ask you doc, if you could take 1-2 days breaks from antibiotics may be monthly or even more often. Good luck, Dina. Guest guest
Sorry, if you specifically want me to answer, may be you should email me privately and harass me that way. I have too much going on these days...not to mention my son is on a lot of treatment...That may not be enough. I give a variety of probiotics. Big ones like VSL-3. about4 times a day, in between i give some electrolyte drink with coconut water + baking soda + saltto keep him hydrated and keep him alkaline. With every meal I give cultured vegetables, and i keep giving coconut kefir, kombucha etc.... cultured cultured cultured...In spite of all this, i have to stop antibiotics every now and then and get him back to shape.Yeah, antibiotics are not easy.Try all those binders I mentioned. I have tried everything and for my son these are best.PramilaTo: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism Sent: Sunday, June 7, 2009 9:50:22 AMSubject: Re: Antibiotics and Diflucan Thanks Pramila.
