Guest guest
, Hi, I don't think anyone hates you for stating the way you feel. There probably is a mind body connection, however I don't see how a bad sexual experience or traumatic childhood could cause someone's bladder to crack and bleed on distention. It probably is part of the puzzle but there has to be more to it. Millions of people have stress, sometimes traumatic events, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will get I.C. or VV. This of course is just my own opinion. I am sorry that you have had some major stressors in your life. I hope that you find relief from your pain. Guest guest
Hi, I also wonder about the mind body connection. I have read some books that say that an illness serves a psychological purpose. A common example is that people get sick because they need a break and rest. However, if I were to pick an illness it would not be this one. Perhaps I am looking too hard for a cause and it is so easy to blame the mind. After all, one doctor told me that the pain comes from sexual abuse. I have never been abused and he refused to speak any further to me or my husband. One of the most understanding comments I ever heard on pain came from a radio program on chronic pain management. He said that whether pain has physical causes or psychological causes, pain is pain and the medical community needs to address it and try to fix it. If a pain is psychosomatic then the doctor should refer to a psychologist/psychiatrist and it is their job to fix it. It is just too easy for a doctor to say that a pain is in someone's head and walk away. If it is in the head, then fix the head! But while I believe stress affects pain greatly, I can't believe it is the cause. Rather, it is the incompetent doctors who burnt me down there with their magic creams. I can't blame myself for this. Besides, how many of us even knew exactly what a vulva or vestibule was prior to the symptoms. Would you ever believe that a person could be disabled by a pain in the crotch? I never could have dreamed up this nightmare. Take care, Sandi
Guest guest
-- You really did have a rough time there--especially w/your husband gone. What a wonderful testament to your faith when you state that God was w/your husband and soldiers at the time, keeping them safe. Sometimes you have to look hard for the silver lining in the cloud that looms over you, and sometimes you don't see it until later, but it's there just as God is always there for us. Laurie, Tx 5/5/00 To > > , > It was great to read your e-mail about your doctor's appt, and his attitude about living your life to the fullest because you ARE healthy! Sometimes I get a little crazy reading these posts...the UNOS changes, the cancer scares...it's enough to make you pull the covers up and not get out of bed. Then something like your upbeat doctor's appt. comes across and I believe it's meant for me to see. At my son's last doctor visit it was very similar to yours. When I mentioned the word transplant he looked at me like I'd lost my mind (which I tend to do from time to time). His attitude was " if, and when " it ever gets to that point....which is so far down the road we'll talk about it. Basically all my son has right now is a thickening of the common bile duct and some mild dialation of some ducts. In a nice way he was trying to tell mom here to settle down, and stay off the internet. > Just wanted to share one little thing and I'll get off. Back in March when my son was diagnosed I hit rock bottom. I knew nothing about this disease except what little I'd read... " no cure, transplant etc... " In my despair I knew God had deserted me. I kept asking where are you God in this darkness? My husband was a commander of about 3000 soldiers at the time, and was away on a training mission during all this diagnosis stuff.Unbeknown to me at the time while training, my husband had two incidences occur that should have killed him. One was a helicopter accident, and the other an artillary round that misfired and came within feet of he and many soldiers. It truely is a miracle he's with us today. > Yesterday in my quiet time I was still accusing God of desertion...then I realized God didn't desert me at all, He was very busy protecting my husband and those precious soldiers. > (mom of , 18yrs.old dx 3/2000, college freshman who just got back his first english quiz, and starting to realize this ain't high school. > > >
Guest guest
-- Thank you so much for your kind offer. I just may take you up on it. It's Nov. 14 -- if the weather is bad, Steve will have to bring me. I don't drive in bad weather. From the records you showed me, I believe you-- you have it all organized. But then we have to, don't we, to get through this?? Thanks again! Laurie PS - I'll let you tell the " ramp " story. I think it was probably funnier at the time than it will sound. I was actually panicking! To Laurie > > Hi Laurie ( and everyone:)....There is one thing I failed to mention before > we parted yesterday....I recall that you said that you were greatful for > having your friend with you at your last appointment. Guest guest
> Hey ! I was exploring the site tonight. I participated in > the poll and then tried the " live chat " area but my connection was lost:( > Anyway....looks great! I am curious, how many new members that do not > belong to this egroup have found the site so far? Your efforts are > appreciated! Sincerely, Yeah.. I tried to initiate a chat with you and then it went kaput! As anxious as I am for people outside of the eGroup to find the site... Notta one so far. I'm able to see from whence every visitor comes and all have been from eGroups or PSCF.ORG. I will hopefully be listed pretty high on the search engines and that will give the site more exposure... The site has only been 'up' for a week, so time will tell.

Guest guest
OK hombre, I can just see you swagger out the door. I am going to find my Braggs ACV and amino acids and get after it again. I need something that won't hurt my liver, like the Aleve I have taken for a long time. If it will cut the pain, I'm all in. Tired of it. The Fatigued to Fantastic and Corvalen M help, due to flooding the cells with nutrients and allowing the oxygen in - so the pain is mostly down from a 6 on the scale of 1 - 10 to 3. The problem is with my DID - multiple personalities - I have trouble with compliance. The only answer I have for that is that when " I " wake up, I take a dose of F to F and my other supplemeents. I hope the alter is just sleeping - I seem to share dreams of correcting situations - so maybe this one isn't destructive. I have noticed that I'm losing time - I don't know to who or why but I have fewer hours in the day to do what I need to do. On a site for people who have late deafness, there was a question if others have invisible disabilities or ailments and are dissed by people.
