Guest guest
Hi , I haven't treated it, but a traditional treatment for c. difficile was bilberry. A long time ago, I know, but the monks at Soutra Aisle used bilberry and during excavations remains of it were found in the drains, along with this bacteria indicating it was used for such infections. For colitis, I have had success with myrrh and goldenseal and another couple of herbs I use for colitis flare-ups for anti-inflammatory and healing without scarring are disocorea and centella. I know goldenseal is very bitter, but it has worked really well in one of my patients who has UC with fistula, and a short term treatment including goldenseal has always settled it quickly whenever he has had signs of a flare-up. best wishes Anne
