Kerry,

Best of luck. I had to do a lot of long train journeys when my EN was at its worst and found that flight sox were a help. I dont know if they will allow these onto flights, but cool packs, like for cool boxes, are good too. or you could take some small strong plastic bags and beg ice off the cabin steward to make an ice pack for your ankle

Ibuprofen at least contains chemicals that are proven to reduce inflamation, which is more than the homeopathic solution is likely to do, so I would go with them and hope the flight is not too bad. The other thing I saw but havent bought is a kind of mega inflatable cushion to put under your feet so they are raised a bit more than normal in the sitting position.

Hi All,

Currently suffering with Erythema Nodosum for the first time. My ankles swell up and become more tender each evening and I'm flying to Spain from UK tomorrow evening. Is this safe? Are my ankles likely to swell up more? I'm going to take some Ibuprofen before the flight which I'm sure will help as this seems to ease the pain when it gets really bad but is there anything else I can do?

Also, my homeopath has advised me that this is more than likely being caused by a food intolerance. I'm considering having a test done to establish what my intolerances are as she says that it will return and more likely become more aggressive each time it does. Have I been given accurate information?

Thanks,

Kerry :)

Get support stockings for the flight, and try systemic enzymes for swelling and pain. I use Vitalzym systemic enzymes to relieve swelling and pain. You need to take it on an empty stomach. It works really fast for taking the swelling down. It is way better than taking Ibuprofen over time and really works well for pain and inflammation. Braggs Organic apple cider vinegar with the mother in it helps too, but a little difficult to travel with you can purchased OACV in a good health food store (I ingest a tbls in 8 ounces of pure water as well as wrap my legs with it during out breaks) and any good homeopath can help you find top notch systemic enzymes. Google vitalzym enzymes and check out the testimonials. You also might want to ask your homeopath to check you for adrenal fatigue, thyroid deficiency and Vit D deficiency. Adrenal fatigue is known to lead to EN as well as other things listed on our EN community site.Best,ML GemmillEN 1975Sent via BlackBerry from T-MobileSender: erythema_nodosum_Group Date: Sun, 8 Aug 2010 21:44:46 +0100To: <erythema_nodosum_Group >ReplyTo: erythema_nodosum_Group Subject: Flying with Erythema Nodosum Hi All,Currently suffering with Erythema Nodosum for the first time.
