Guest guest
Just wondering whether anybody here has a poor tolerance to heat? As well as the sound sensitivity I also have great problems with excessive levels of body heat. I sweat a lot but not an amount disproportionate to how hot I actually feel. I am a couple of stones overweight at the moment but this issue was still present even when I was in the normal range.

Guest guest
I'm heat sensitive. Everyone else will be comfortable or cold and I'll be overheated or warm. On the flip side I like being cold. Ill be in a group and eveyone will be freezing and I think it feels great. Sent from Yahoo! Guest guest
Yes.. I am sensitive to both heat and cold.. but it is not (as far as I know) related to the sound sensitivity.. it is due to the POTS. --------------------------------------------------------- ♥ " Hope is more than a word; it's a state of being. Guest guest
Thanks for the responses everyone. POST actually describes a lot of my symptoms, albeit the main ones ie. the ones due to blood pressure, etc I do not have. I do have issues that some report regarding barometric pressure changes though. Due to a lot of other co-morbid symptoms I have been treated for ADHD/Depression, and have noticed that any medication I take that raises norepinephrine causes my sensitivities to worsen, as well as increasing a lot of my other problems. On the flip side I've found things which I believe lower, or work against it such as magnesium (or green tea) to be of some help. I've had tests done on my thyroid which have come back without issue. Guest guest
Not everyone with POTS has issues with each of the areas... my blood pressure is almost always stable, but my heart rate, body temperature, and things like that are all out of whack. Autonomic testing would tell you if you had POTS or not. --------------------------------------------------------- ♥ " Hope is more than a word; it's a state of being. Guest guest
Going to have a word with my Doctor, as come to think of it I do have some of the other symptoms anyway - have never been good at standing for long periods of time, never fainted, but feel pretty bad.  Will try and get a tilt table test  Not everyone with POTS has issues with each of the areas... my blood pressure is almost always stable, but my heart rate, body temperature, and things like that are all out of whack. Guest guest
I've always been heat sensitive -- more so now during my transition into " ladydom.
