5 Year old with recurrent tonsilitis

I am going to see a 5 year old boy with recurrent tonsillitis. He had it

almost all his life on and off but recently more so. His Dr's antibiotics

controls it for a while but it flares up frequently with no apparent reason.

He develops high temperature with it which will last for a few days. I would

be very grateful if you tell me what you think and what would be your

preferred treatment?
