Guest guest
Andy, It is great to see our group with activity. It makes me proud (in a distorted / strange kind of way) to know that I should be able to coach this guy on how to become even larger! The things folks dream up for empathy. Jeeze! But... The circumstances are still a bit too much in his favor... 6 months is just not enough. And then we would have to hand him a couple of highly stressed events, maybe a loss of his business revenues, or a critically ill family member. Then we have to have the guy's car break down and not have the cash for repairs, or maybe have his life's savings wiped out from a bad investment or legal fees. Should we have a doctor prescribe anti-depressants or blood pressure meds? He can extend the 6 months to maybe 36, only after he has gained a lot more weight. In the meanwhile, do not allow him time to work out, send him traveling to lots of meetings with other heavy folks, cocktails. Oh... And did I mention giving him 4 to 8 kids that are all Mickey D's happy meal fanatics that he must now please. Once he completely destroyed his metabolism, and his muscles have evaporated, and he has some good, massively hanging fat (EEeeeewwwhhh!), Then, and only THEN... I think he could begin relate to those with lifetime eating disorders. I think this summarizes many of the issues and excuses that I may have recorded over the years. Life is just life, for some folks. All this stuff just happens naturally. Otherwise... I guess the publicity is nice to have. In the meantime, it's back to my battle of the bulge and all the fat demons that I face, daily. Happy BFL'ing,

Guest guest
Hi group :-) I am wondering if anyone, especially with children, have some time savings ideas? I'm finding it difficult to squeeze in the time to go to the gym until after dinner, so I'm not getting out the door until 7 or 8 and, many times, I lose the motivation to go when it is so late. I am unable to go in the morning I have to get my son out to school. I know where there is a will there is a way, so I'm hoping someone's been there and has some tips on how to juggle it all. I am a single, working mom of 3, but I refuse to give up on taking care of my health just because I'm super busy. Thank you!
Guest guest
, M & M's??? With your tight body, you would see the trail of tiny lumps all the down your throat and in your abdomen. Best of luck with your show, my dear.

Guest guest
, if you are a morning person, you could get up extra early to fit in your routine. That is what I used to do whem my kids were small. I know it may be tough to get started on it, but it is easier than staying motivated late in the day, after a hard day... Good luck to you!!! Guest guest
, I recall you mentioning your " Orca " frame, however, I also remember your " fat " pictures, and for you, that just means the bumps from the M & M's would not have the color candy shell visible. Enjoy your show! I know you will do well.

Guest guest
Brett, I have a great idea! What if... Instead of my whining about finding 80+ pounds of my hard earned weight loss, what if I called it an experiment. What if I say I deliberately regained that weight, and elected to live with it for, lets call it 4 years, to see if I would return to bad eating and fitness habits. I can say I experimented with all the crises in normal life and want to see how difficult it would be to return to the body of a mythical Greek god? (Not really saying I was with those rock solid abs and arms of steal, but... You get the picture.) I wonder how much press and psychological and financial support I can garner as I drive forward, back to my BFL basics? How about them apples? Okay, who knows a good publicist? Quick, before I turn this tons of fun body back to that cherished tower of power! I can see it now... Endorsements like pro athletes! Commercials for the Big & Tall Man stores, the " Big " designer names for all kinds of clothes, fitness apparel, fitness equipment, etc., etc. Maybe I can even get a computer or telephone named after me??? A franchised opportunity for a new restaurant chain I can call... " Fatso's " . Oh what a wonderful life!!! IF, the weight gain was intentional and IF I was able to simply begin to rekindle the weight loss efforts, again. Sigh... Better dreams tomorrow! Yours in (want-to-be) fitness,
Guest guest
Brett, On second (or third) thought... Maybe this guy really did just slip off his fitness and proper nutrition path and is using it as a publicity cover-up??? Oh, the conspiracy theory kind of guy I am, eh? Guest guest
Yes, I think we could all be qualified to coach that guy! I do get your point though that he may make himself fat, but lack many of the issues that other face. Guest guest
I've done both morning and evening and have issues with both. I do agree if you can get it out of the way early, you can't make up excuses later. There are advantages and disadvantages to both times. I need to get to bed earlier if I am going to get up to lift weights in the morning. I don't feel like I have the energy in the morning to lift so really prefer evenings. I've been running like crazy lately so have not lifted a weight since June 29th and only 11 workouts this year. Really not a good excuse, but that is where I am. There was about 6 weeks earlier in the year where I couldn't lift since I was recovering from back surgery. It is seriously time to stop the excuses and back to it. I am getting some power blocks for my birthday (been wanting a set for 9 years) so maybe that will motivate me to get with it.
