Does MS ever cause the muscles in the hands to spasm to the point where they contract into a claw, even if only temporarialy?

Hey,

Ya, I've had that in both my foot and hand... I call it " clapping my

toes " when the muscles contract to where the big toe and little toe

almost touch... Usually a good stomp helps, usually...

I've never had it stay that way for very long in either my hands or

feet, but I know what you mean, and yes, that's the MS.

I think that foot thing happened to me once. I have no idea if I have MS, but I know I have been miserable off and on for over 25 years. They first thought lupus. This rheumy has suggested other stuff... I don't go back until Jan 20. So I have to wait to tell him about the spasming... I have told him about the lovely electrical rushes that start from neck [those started about 4 years ago]....and the loss of balance and loss of sensation I have that is just about everywhere....and dropping stuff for no reason... He took lots of blood and if they are all negative perhaps he will send me to a neuro.
