Guest guest
Hey all Since we are talking about medications I figured I'd share what kind I was on with a newly diagnosed Fibro and Costo. Celexa, 20mg a day, I just went off of this, it made me a different person, and I was very angry, not me (1st grade teacher, 25 male) But I felt the difference in my body seratonin wise. ULTRAM 50mg, 6 times a day. This pain medication is the only one my insurance pays for and it doesnt cover any of my pain. The drs will not give me something like vicoden or oxycodone, cause of my age, and the fact it doesn't help fibro or costo, it just covers it. I applied for ULTRACET, but was denied, so my Rheum doctor told me to talke my Ultram with Tylenol and it would be the same thing. Does anyone else reccomend a good pain killer that really works and I would be approved for? I also take SOMA 350mg, 1x at bedtime to help me get to sleep, Ambien doesn't seem to work and I do not know what else to ask for. They wanted to put me on Ambitriptyline (elavil) and I heard so much negative about it, I was scared to take it. They also want me on Wellbutrin, to reverse the sexual side affects, so at one point I was on 3 anti depressants, now I am on none. I cut out a lot of the medication other than the Ultram, for I get crippling rib pain from front to full back and it just isn't good. I am going to see a Chiropractor to get weekly adjustments for Fibro, and my back rib pain, hopefully he doesnt flare the costo up too much. He is aware of Fibro and said he can help. Now I have been trying to switch over to more natural stuff.. my new plan is this: Ive started Magnesium, Calcium, Malic Acid, Ginseng, Sam-E and I was thinking 5-thp (sp) not sure yet. But I am going the more natural route. If you have any recc. or help, I'd love it, I really want to find a better pain killer that might help me. Hopefully the back adjustments help too. Lately I've had major fibro fog, and getting a lot of restless legs in the daytime, just at my desk, jerking and twitching. Sometimes its even full body. Scary. My muscles have been so sore and loose, it feels like my left up is just degenerating away, I wonder if there is something more wrong. I want to do physical exercise, but I am not sure what to do.. for alot flares my rib syndrome, which then kills the fibro. Email me _Christopia@..._ (mailto:Christopia@...) Thanks friends!
