Guest guest
If anyone has time, I would appreciate a look at the following formula. I have a cream from CO Bigelow that I am trying to get close to, it is thick to the eye but when you apply it it feels very light, glossy and whipped. It has a " wet " type rubdown, goes in very quickly and does not have any " white " or waxy type of feel to it as you are rubbing it in. It does leave your skin with a bit of a wet type feeling for a few minutes. Here is where I am so far: Water 68% Glycerin 5% Dimethicone Copolyl 2% Shea butter 4% Frac. Coconut Oil 3% BTMS Conditioning Emulsifier 5% Ewax NF 2% EmEster2% Rice bran or jojoba oil 7% Liprosilk 2% I will adjust the preserv./scent from the water when I get it right. This has a lovely, light/fluffy texture and after rubbed in the skin feels great, the problem is during the rub in, it takes too long and you are rubbing the " white " part in too long if this makes any sense? It is just too draggy for the effect I need. I have tried varying the water from 65-75%, playing with the BTMS from 2-5%, I did have cetyl ester in but left it out because I thought that might be part of the drag. I have made 8 versions so far and don't know what else to try. I am a little under the gun timewise on the sample but would rather put her off a few weeks if anyone has a different ingredient/idea??
