Hi Hope,

I am sorry that you have had a bad experience with the coil. I agree with many

of your statements about the coil and that is why I tell people right up front

that it isn't for everyone. If I didn't have the support of a husband who could

help me put my coil together, I would have been lost too.

Unlike you, I herxed a lot on the coil and continue to do so, but I have never

done antibiotics either and for those who have done antibiotics it may require

stopping them for 6 months or so in order to really feel a herx on the coil as

the Lyme will start coming out of cysts.

Yes it can be tedious, but realize that the coil is not going to have the

negative side effect of causing a yeast overgrowth by killing off the good

bacteria. Everyone is different and responds differently to different

protocols. Not everyone, has had success with abx either and in fact have

gotten worse once they are stopped. I just knew that I have a Candida and mold

sensitivity problem that I felt the abx would exascerbate.

I am happy that you have found success with abx in your recovery. I have had

a lot of success with the coil as a treatment modality for Lyme. I am glad that

you posted, because everyone must weigh out the options and consider the good,

bad and the ugly and determine for themselves if the coil is right for them.

ago BEFORE I purchased a Doug Coil.

I am a long term lymie--now 61 and sick since childhood. I have tried many

things, both drugs and alternatives, including HBOT, detox, heavy metal removal,

etc etc.

very slowly as I'd been sick so long. I am still ill but much better than I was

a decade ago when I finally figured out I had tick infections.

couldn't find a doc, didn't like meds, etc. I'd do the Byron White herbal

formulas. If you google, you will find info. I was able to purchase them without

a script from Bioresources.com using the password " health " . That may have

changed by now but you can talk to them. Ideally, one should be working with a

health professional who have been trained in using them, but you can use them on

your own. They are broad spectrum antimicrobials so will be killing off many

things. I'd start with A-Bart, then go to A-Bab, and then add A-L (for lyme).

They have detox formulas and formulas for other infections as well. FWIW.
