Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My name is Kim. I have had joint pain for many years. Late last year I began running a temperature of around 101 degrees for approximately a week. I thought I had the flu only to realize a week later my symptoms were not getting better but worse. The pain was so severe that I rolled over in bed one night and thought I had broken my ribs. I broke out in a rash all over that was raised red bumps. They did not itch but were painful. My temperature reached 103 and the pain was so severe I couldnt walk. My husband rushed me to the Doctor. I was sent immediately to a Rheumotologist. My white cell count was high however Rheumatoid factor and Lupus were ruled out from the blood results. He place me on prednisone and within 3 days I was feeling much better however the rash stayed with me for apprx 3 weeks before completely vanishing. I still continued with a low grade fever so my Rheumotologist sent me to an infectious disease doctor. More and more blood test performed. The only thing that I tested high for was the Epstein Bar Virus. The infectious disease doctor did not believe this was the problem. All doctors were convinced I had Lupus however wasnt showing up in blood work. As of last year I have had rfemission periods lasting for about 3 months. This is now the 3rd time in one year I have relapsed with the pain and fever, however no rash. Stills disease has been discussed with my doctor however have not been diagnosed nor am I being treated. I have had so much blood work done in the last 12 months however they cannot even find any inflammation. I test negative for arthritis, however whatever this is has taken a toll on my joints and now have some deformities. Does any of this sound familiar???? I am desperate...please let me know. Thanks and God Bless! Kim
