Guest guest Posted November 25, 2010 Report Share Posted November 25, 2010 Lizzie's Sausage-apple-tater pie Raise de hog on scraps and rootin' around, kaitch dat dere hog, butcher hit ep, grind some n poot dem en tube skins, smoke 'em in de smoke hause an smoke one whilst dere.....or not: Later, haf Pa go git: 1/2 lb. sausage frim de smoke hause adda a pincha salt 2 sweet taters Big pincha flour 3 apples - Ah don effen pell 'em 2 big pinchas common day sugar 1/2 cup cold water 1 tbsp sausage drippins Taka de sausage outta de tubes ta make small balls outta dem iffin ya can. Skin de taters. Skin de apples'n core den slice 'em up. Wiff hands, mix salt, flour,'n sugar'n stir hit into water. Fix 2'R 3 layers of sausage, taters n apples in a bakin' pan, n pour sum uf the flour'n sugar mixture over each layer...jist use apples'n sausage on the top layer. Add the drippin's iffen ya got any den kiver de pot. Bake fur 'bout 45 min. in a 375' oven.
