Guest guest
I've got loads of those pleasurable sounds too. A big jet engine flying really close overhead when I'm outside is soothing to me, I like that I can feel it. Love loud music, am drawn to heavy bass, hate muffled music though, especially the bass. SighBTW no eating disorders here just typical american woman (and dancer to boot) obsessed with her weight. HeidiSent from my iPhone As I posted in my newbie intro, I've also have trigger sounds that cause the opposite emotions than the negative ones. The crinkle of tissue paper is one, the crackle of cellophane. Those things are probably negative triggers for some of you These cause a calmness and unexplained joy in me. It's a pleasant departure from the usual hello of rage and then hopeless despair.does anyone else experience this sort of thing?

Guest guest
I really enjoy train noises - horns, the sounds they make on the tracks - I live a few blocks from a train line. > > As I posted in my newbie intro, I've also have trigger sounds that cause the opposite emotions than the negative ones. Guest guest
My sister has been saying how she really hates the sounds her classmates make. She hates wistling(like me), tapping, page turning. I asked her how she feels when she hears them. She told me it's anger. She is almost 10. I know that misophonia runs in the family, but mine is the worst so far. I also enjoy that sound. > > > > > > As I posted in my newbie intro, I've also have trigger sounds that cause > > the opposite emotions than the negative ones. Guest guest
I have been reading various posts from this group but have not posted much at all. I do like to focus on the positive an so here are some of my favorite sounds. Trains (like one poster said), airplanes landing/taking off, high-power jets flying overhead, the sound of rain and thunder, crickets, the wind through evergreens (especially great in a quiet mountain setting), good-lower pitched music, the sound my dog makes when he's in the middle of a dream. That's all I can think of at the moment. They almost make up for the crunch, shuffle, pop, snap, slurp, clip, sneeze, squeal, lick, crinkle, and bark of daily life. > > > > > > > > As I posted in my newbie intro, I've also have trigger sounds that cause > > > the opposite emotions than the negative ones.
