Guest guest
I have blood sugar problems but find that since starting modifilan they have lessened a bit. I think that iodine is a very important component that needs to be adressed in order to overcome these issues with lyme and hypo and hyper thyroid. I still have to eat small meals every 3 to 4 hours and if I don't then everyone needs to get far away because I become a different person. I had this before I had lyme disease but it is worse when lyme is involved. Guest guest
thank you. i will check out mercola. yes, we have been on a restrictive diet and realized how hypoglycemic my lymie is when he went off it and really indulged in white bread for a few days. the problem is that he doesn't see it as much of a problem as i do. if he is functional, he is fine. according to him. but he did start taking cinnamon pills, i would like him to cut out the carbs, but he is ok with restricting to whole wheat a couple times a day. we eat ezekial sprouted at home, but aren't always here. it is the best! i don't even like regular bread anymore. thanks for the idea of taking the pills with meals. that didn't occur to me. he also takes chlorella. can that upset his stomach? thanks all, janet To: Lyme_and_Rife From: baroquen1685@...Date: Sun, 15 Aug 2010 09:55:37 -0700Subject: Re [Lyme_and_ Janet, that is VERY interesting re Lyme cycles. My Lyme cycle tends to go with the moons and then will jump a couple weeks forward or back with major seasonal changes to new moon and then regulates again--it all plays closely with my hormones. I have not rifed with a coil machine yet and haven't found a microcycle to keep track of. But that is SOOO interesting.I second Whitney on the importance of changing diet. I am mildly hypoglycemic, and definitely agree that the infections screw up our sugar metabolism. It the hypoglycemia + Lyme that make some real trouble--I've seen it, experienced it, and heard about it at my LLMD's clinic. I am also on a no-sugar diet. I'm back to having some carbs and doing ok....just be sure to drink my coconut milk, and intuitively cut back on carbs as needed. Chromium picolinate can help with sugar metabolism. Cinnamon also--should be taken with meals. Both of these can affect blood sugar levels soon upon taking them so definitely take with food. They have helped me in the long run. I used to get weak after 2 or 3 hours of not having any food (I'm a grazer: intuitive hypoglycemia "solution"). Now I can go 5 hours without getting weak. Hungry, but not weak. And I can have dinner, eventually go to bed, and then get up and do stuff for a few hours before I have to eat. I used to feel like I couldn't survive a 1-day fast. Now I think I could...possibly even 2 days. My appetite has decreased tremendously as well...which might be a good thing. I've always been low end of "healthy" BMI, but ate like a horse. Now I eat less and stay the same, so maybe some absorption issues have improved.Mercola has the Nutritional Typing program offered for free for a short time....you Mr should probably get into that so he will know what is the best for him to eat for his nutritional type. Re: lyme cycles Posted by: "Whitney Schmucker" wschmucks@... wschmucks@... Sat Aug 14, 2010 4:16 pm (PDT) Hi Janet,You might want to check out a low carb, no sugar type diet. I used to haveAWFUL hypoglycemia and now I have no problem. My diet is pretty darn strict, but I know you could do an easier one and still get results. Limit any carbs(grains, potatoes, bananas, any starches) and focus on veggies, nuts andmeat. It actually is one of the best diets for anyone with a chronicsickness. Let me know if you want more info-- I dont want to inundate you, especially if you already feel like you have it under control :-)WhitneyOn Sat, Aug 14, 2010 at 3:23 PM, janet <two2teachhotmail (DOT) com> wrote:>>> hi everyone, i have been working hard treating my husband and daughter for> a while now and i have just made an exciting discovery. i thought i would> share some of our experience in case we can help anyone else out there. a> short backround: my husband has been suffering for years and then i> discovered he had lyme as i studied it for my daughter. he was still> working, but pretty debilitated. he went to a llmd and went on antibiotics> for about a year and a half. after getting to the point of feeling well, we> went off of them and rifed for maintenance. i was doing really well> following my intuition as to when to coil him, largly following john> stolar's advice. he started not feeling so well when i stopped coiling him> for mycoplasma to focus on getting rid of bart. and while he felt mostly> good, he still had issues with tingling, nausea and dizzyness. then one day> it hit hard and he realized he had hypoglycemia. and i was keeping track of> his cycles and i realized he had a 5 day lyme cycle! i coiled him for lyme> and he made sure he ate every few hours, and then the next day i coiled him> for mycoplasma, because he has stomach problems too. he never felt so good> the following day. i am pleased to have discovered his new lyme cycle and> think that all these infections are messing with his insulin balance. i> wanted to share this information incase anyone had anything to add, and to> show how dilligence can pay off. he is not cured, but very functional and i> believe once we whip all the pathogens living in him his hypoglycemia might> even disappear. thanks everyone for all your great input in this community.> janet
