Hey everyone, I just realized that there hasn't been much traffic lately.

Let's wake this list up!

How is everyone doing with their program? Even the old-timers, post up your

current goals and your plan! (put OT in the subject line if necessary)

Me?

My workouts are centered around rehab-ing my shoulders, and progress has

been a roller coaster for the last 3 years, but slowly getting better

overall. Bodyweight is slowly dropping, which is part of an overall goal of

returning to a weight that is consistent with lower strength levels (due to

shoulders). Other goals are keeping the knees happy and overall fitness

(being able to backpack, sprint, wrestle, hike, etc).

Diet is mostly good, sometimes bad. Good habits, most meals are clean, but

too many treats to consider it BFL by the book.

Brett ( & BFL'ers),

I'm a little (okay a lot) stuck in the mud. Not getting very much traction

lately. 100 false restarts. Can't seem to find why I am unable to engage.

Economy? Income? Family? Work? Lazy? Pain? Depression? Recession?

Obsession? Other? All the above? None of the above?

But...

I am here, alive and kicking. ...Weakening and widening, but, kicking. :)

Looking for progress,

Glad you are alive & kicking. I don't know what it takes to motivate you, but

only you will figure it out and we are hear to support you when you are ready to

pick up the weights. Or to try to figure out why you are not motivated.

I was just checking out this website that I hear so much about

http://www.livestrong.com Maybe something to check out. With my short

attention span, I continually need new sources of motivation.

I went to the MyPlate Food Diary section and just typed in Roly Poly and was

surprised that the stuff on their menu pops up. I know BFL isn't counting

calories, but this might be a fun tool to use. Also some recipes too. I see

some aren't BFL but I think there are some and others could be adapted.

As for weight training program to keep things interesting for me, I did the ever

so hyped P90X from mid June to Mid August and was impressed with my results and

soreness in that short amount of time. I found that having the trainer on the

DVD to follow really helped push me to a new level. I slacked off due to

running races in September and October, but am going to get back to it regularly

after my big race next month.

Brett, that is interesting the effect of going light on the weights. The mental

impact of not doing anything at all is even worse that going light, but I know

what you mean. I do miss the low reps, heavier weights. I may have to work

that back in at some point if I feel like my back can handle it again and I do

think there is hope.

That is great that you have figured out a way to make some gains again. And

habits are key even though we sometimes lose ground, adapt, and then have to

adapt again.
