Guest guest
He blew out both knees 11 days ago and had surgery. Both legs quadriceps tendon ruptured and separated from the knee. This injury came out of nowhere. He was walking down some stairs and his right knee popped. Feet were flat on floor and both knees started moving forward and right leg toward his left leg and both went forward (hyperflex)and smashed down. When feet ended up under his fanny, the quadriceps tried to flex to pull them back and both tendons ruptured and snapped. He thought he still had his left leg so put weight on left foot and his knee and thigh separated 6 inches. Then he scooted up the stairs with his triceps. He explains it all in this video at the beginning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHCdLo0gFN4 & feature=player_embedded He did research on the hospitals since he thought he knew what happened and then an ambulance came and got him, had surgery to reattached the quadricep to the tendon (500 sutures in each leg). His doctor thinks he will have a rapid recovery and be stronger than before. The moral of the story is if you are strong and in shape and go to the hospital, you will get out quicker and have a faster recovery. Guest guest
Had to be be the build up of micro-tears over time. Very strange way to injure yourself unless he was sprinting down the stairs. -- Kurnik http://expat-wanderlust.blogspot.com/ > > > He blew out both knees 11 days ago and had surgery.
