Guest guest
I don't know of one, but I would aim for equal grams of carbs and protein and no more than 20% recommended daily allowance for fat. If carbs are a bit higher than protein, that is fine. If the recipe has a healthy fat such as salmon, I wouldn't hesitate to go higher percentage fat. Guest guest
Janine, Part of the BFL concept is not to over analyze your meals. The less time obsessing on diet, the easier it will be to follow in the long term and the greater likelihood of success. That said, my personality likes the details so I generally break it down and evaluates choices based on those figures. I used to do this be adding up the components in the EFL, or other recipe and tracking it on a spreadsheet. Just recently I started using the www.LiveStrong.com <http://www.livestrong.com/> diet tracking tool. Its a good system and they have many EFL recipes broken down in their database along with the ability for you make your own means/groups. For example, one of my favorites, Taco Past Salad straight from their database: *Food Item* *Servings* *Cals* *Fat* *Cholest* *Sodium* *Carbs* *Sugars* * Fiber* *Protein* Eating For Life Recipe Taco Pasta Salad<http://www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate/nutrition-calories/food/eating-for\ -life-recipe/taco-pasta-salad> 1.00<http://www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate/users/myplate/?when=2010-03-02#> 426 7g 0mg 0mg 54g 0g 0g 34g I just did a search and they have seven pages of recipes that show up when your search for " Eating for Life " with lots of familer meals, so I bet they have them all. --- Kurnik http://expat-wanderlust.blogspot.com/ > > > Is there a nutritional breakdown for criteria for the Eating For LIfe > recipes available?
