Guest guest
Hey don’t worry, 3 pounds over a week end may only be water retention, one can hardly take 3 pounds in 2 days. Remember that 1 pound of fat = 3500 calories. To gain 3 pounds of fat you would have to eat 3 times 3500 calories OVER your regular intake to maintain your weight (for a sedentary person around 1500 calories for a woman, 2000 calories for a man) so that means that you would have to have eaten 16 500 calories over the course of 3 days (counting Friday, Saturday and Sunday)……. Impossible unless you have eaten 20 pounds of pasta with cream cheese sauce, 2 gallons of ice cream and some nachos on the side) It is normal for a person to have a weight that fluctuates 5 pounds either way depending on many factors. Did you have a more salty diet, did you weigh yourself at the same time each day? Did you go to the bathroom the same amount each day? Did you drink (or not drink) same amount before weighing each day? Did you eat (or not eat) the same amount before weighing each day? All of these things could be playing a part. You should pick one specific time of day and day of the week to weigh in. Then do everything as similar as you can that day. The easiest is to weigh in first thing in the morning after you go in the bathroom on a weekly basis, then these little flucuations won't bother you. Keep on walking….. Guest guest
I know that I didn't work out in the traditional sense, but helped a friend move. Many trips up and down the stairs over the period of an hour and a half. Plus some very heavy items like a china cabinet, antique wardrobe (that item had to go in the attic!), and a king size mattress. I was pretty sore the next day from that. But I measured my waist and I had seemed to gain back the 1/2" I had lost. Not sure if I was getting an accurate measurement on that though. I'm not bummed though, I just need to get back at it! Guest guest
Yes, I plan to! Recently I was talking to my boss about the Wii Fit and then suggested we get one for people to use during during lunch or break time. Then this morning the VP talked to me and said he thought that was a great idea! Just looking at how to purchase it. Sweet!
