Sue,

We started out by hiding everything BUT it got to a point where Ben no longer

wanted to eat anything for fear we had hidden supps in it. What we have done is

gotten ALL off his supplements in Gel Cap form(tasteless) and simply taught him

to swallow them.

We basically do it in an ABA fashion using his Butterscotch Vit E (GNC brand)as

reinforcer in the morning and cherry flavored probiotics in the evening. We

still get a fight from time to time but most of the time he will just take them.

Toma

Is this information

around anywhere or can we maybe start collecting it...

Toma,

How did you actually teach him to swallow the capsules and how old is your

son? I bought the smallest empty capsules I could find to put my sons

vitamins into with the hope that I could teach him to swallow them someday

soon. He is 3 1/2. Does that sound too young? (My son also will not drink or

eat any of his favorites anymore because he's afraid supplements are in

them.)

<P> Terri:

<P>I appreciate your honesty. It usually takes a good

woman to be true first. I want you all to know that

your <STRONG>liver</STRONG> is vital to your every day

function, especially with environmental toxins. The

<STRONG>liver</STRONG> makes its own enzymes to

convert toxins and heavy metals into water-soluble

components which we can excrete through the urine and

sweat. In addition, the liver re-arranges proteins to

make essential neuro-transmitters, dopamine, & nbsp;

serotonin, melatonin, muscle, skin, cartilage, creates

bile for digestion, and still has hundreds of other

functions.

<P>I have been into holistic health for 17 years. I

have dealt with every supplement imaginable, including

enzymes, psyllium, 'blood cleansers,' multi-level

promises, colonics, vitamins of all kinds, individual

'magic' herbs, magnetic devices, sweat lodges, Reiki,

chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, channeling,

essential oils, prayer, psychic healers, crystals,

mantras, re-birthing, and the like.

<P>I can tell you all that through my own experiences

and those of hundreds of clients of mine, none of the

above has any lasting effect. The only stand-alone

protocol that I subscribe to now is <STRONG><U>strong

liver function</U></STRONG>. Since I have been taking

the <STRONG>Liver Support</STRONG> found on my website

[<EM>Retail</EM> link for individuals, <EM>Doctor</EM>

link for practitioners], I have increased ENERGY,

DIGESTION, and ELIMINATION within <STRONG>3

days</STRONG>. I take none of the above-mentioned

supplements any more. As an extra benefit, my ability

to deal with my own anger re the entire global

pollution picture has become more manageable. My skin

tone has improved, and my muscle tension has greatly

diminished.

<P><A

href= " http://www.geocities.com/mikemenkes/oralchelation.html " >http://www.geociti\

es.com/mikemenkes/oralchelation.html</A>

<P>I am suggesting the <STRONG>Liver Support</STRONG>

or other highly-reputable product makers: Solaray,

Source Naturals, Enzymatic Therapies, Phyto Pharmica,

Nature's Way, Country Life, Gaia Herbs & nbsp;have

excellent milk thistle/silymarin combination

supplements. Most other brands do not make label

claim.

<P>While some very educated people on this site have

some educated disagreement about the oral chelation

protocol that is also promoted at my site, I am open

to hearing from anyone about a better formula. I

myself have gone through a rheumatoid-like cleansing

reaction in my wrist bones, stiff neck, and emotional

roller-coaster during the 3rd week of the <STRONG>oral

chelation</STRONG> protocol. I can only report to you

what is working for me and hundreds of family,

friends, and patients.

<P>My hair analysis shows 400% acceptable mercury

levels, and I have had my amalgams replaced in 1985.

<P>I live in South Florida, and I am just learning

about 2 major sources of Hg contamination of the air

and water: 1) the Everglades, where metric tons of

peat degrade every day, releasing bound mercury into

the air and sea.

<P>2) Coal-burning facilities.

<P>I can help you to obtain reliable hair analysis of

22 minerals for $40.00. An example is a 6-year-old

girl, who not only tested high for mercury, aluminum

and copper [probably slow leaks from the plumbing in

her house], but low in zinc. & nbsp;A child with low

zinc & nbsp;may experience slow growth, loss of

appetite, and behavioral/learning disorders. An Army

Ranger tested & nbsp; 800% & nbsp;above acceptable mercury

levels from dental amalgams and all of the extra

immunizations that Armed Forces personnel receive

without question, unless they want to face a

court-martial for disobeying orders. His off-the-map

selenium levels were confirmed to be from use of an

anti-dandruff shampoo.

<P>This range of contamination is not even including

the Thimerosal mercury preservative added to

children's and public health/VA vaccinations.

<P>I am going the extra step: anyone who takes the

<STRONG>Liver Support and does not feel better within

3 days, I will refund your money without

question.</STRONG>

<P>I encourage you all to take action for yourselves

and your loved ones. This battle will be fought and

won by those of us strongest to survive this double

burden.

<P>Until there is a better way, I remain:

<P>With Great Respect to you all,

I'm a fairly typical mom from these lists -- 3 kids,

HI Meg,

Ben was about that age when he started supplements. Are you doing ABA with your

little guy? If so you would simply treat it as any other drill. Start out with

small empty caps WET THEM FIRST, this makes them slippery and easier to swallow

place them in his mouth, encourage 'no chewing' and reinforce for swallowing.

In the begining we used to have to hold our finger over his mouth as he would

try to spit them out but once he got the hang of it he's realised that it's

easier just to take them ;) As with anything if you stick with it for awhile

it'll get easier.

Gel caps have been our savior, we actually had to switch him from a children's

chewable to a gel cap because he doesn't even like those! You might also want

to find a couple of GOOD tasting supps as reinforcement. As I said in my last

post we use Butterscotch E (GNC Brand) in the morning and cherry chewable

probiotics at night.
