Guest guest
Good Morning everyone, and I hope all of you are having a great day! Yesterday, I attended an appointment with an Allergist Specialist as part of my journey in treating the Bronch.....Here is what happened my Dr. had sent him all my result testing and he examined me and we chatted then the testing started...he only tested me for environmental stuff not food....and I had no allergies to any of it....He says I have a sensitivity but not allergies which means that you don't get any allergy shots just use an antihistamine when something is bothering you. His opinion on what will resolve my issues is this...he says that every area has to have its own treatment...so for sinus...Flonase/or equal.....to stop bacteria from emptying into the throat and beyond....2. Spivira for the lungs/ mucous 3. the acid relux medication for the cough I told him that I had tried the acid relux medication and it did nothing....and I don't have any heartburn or problems he says this happens when your sleeping....and that in order for it to work you have to treat all the three areas at the same time...This is his opinion and he's making it after reviewing all my test results....He said that my new Lung Specialist is absolutely one of the best so I'm in Great hands and that no one should have a deep productive cough like I have lasting this length of time as there are treatments for it....His opinion makes sense! You would think that they would have one drug to look after all of this.....guess they want more MOney out of us. I see my Lung/Specialist on July 31, 2008 for further testing and I'm going to tell her what Dr. Wong has said...see what she thinks about his opinion. The Spirva is still helping to reduce my mucous ....I only took the flonase a couple of times thinking that was what I was suppose to do but according to Dr. Wong I should have been taking it 2 sprays per day for the month for the Lung Specialists treatment of each issue...Wooops!!!! So I started to do it today.... I'm hoping this information is helpful to someone on our list trying to find a treatment plan that works.
