Guest guest
Debra, Look at it this way - it can't get much worse! I thought I had it bad with a flood, dead car, and frozen water pipes under the house. I'd take all that any day instead of a trip to the ER (or the OR for that matter). I hope Zaky is doing okay and Tryny is feeling better soon. Give that sweety a hug from me! The year 2000 has started off with a bang in our household. The day after Christmas, Tryny hit his head and busted it open, requiring 3 staples. Then when we go back to have them removed, it was swollen and they had to lance it. Then we had to wet/dry pack the hole for 2 weeks and wrap his head. Now he has a nice " hole " in his head, but it's healing. Then 2 weeks ago, he refused to walk on his left foot. Took him for x-rays and negitive but still refused to walk. Took him back for a necular bone scan and boy oh boy did that left ankle light up like a Christmas tree. So he was put into the hospital for a week while they ran every test there was, and all came up negitive, but still there is definate trauma in the ankle. So they decided to treat him for " osteo militias " (spelling probably not right). They wanted to put a centra line in him for 8 weeks of anitbiotics but the cardiologist says NO unless it's the last resort (as he may need his next open heart surgery sometime soon and the central line can cause bacteria that they don't want). So since he has no other symptome but the bone scan, they put him on oral for 3 weeks and then a recheck. But they don't want to use vinkamiacin because of the side effects on the kidneys and the immune system (since he has to have 9cc QID), so they had to use a rocephin (which he was dionosed as being allergic to and hasn't had it since he was 2). It causes him to itch alot but so far he is tolerating it. We came home from the hospital on Tuesday and ambulanced back the next day for a " grand mahl/convulsive seizure " . Are we having FUN yet ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Nope, now he has pneumonia from being in the hospital and we can't treat it with steriods due to the massive amounts of antibiotics. And how is everyone elses New Year? Debra ---------------------------

Guest guest
Krissy I go see Dr. Levin Jan. 29th. As far as picking a date yet no we haven't, we are taking this one step at a time, meaning once we find out that is possible to do the reversal then we will choose a date. Good luck and thanks for the reply. Love and Baby Wishes, Chrissy Kris Neely wrote: Chrissy I am sorry I can't help you with that one I would send them to the Doctor ASAP. Guest guest
Hi folks, I am a seriously over-weight guy and I also have cirrhosis of the liver. My doctor wrote on my chart that I'd never lose the weight...so I showed her... so far, 66.4 pounds lost... I love WW! I hope everyone has a Trader Joe's near them (mine is in the same shopping center as the WW) they get me thru the day! Bb
Guest guest
Welcome back Margaret!! --- Margaret Drinkwater wrote: --------------------------------- Hello again. I'm back from a weeks vacation at the shore. It was hell, not because of fibro but because I hate the shore!! the beach and I never did get along. too sticky and sandy; especially NJ beach sand. ugh. I had a problem at the end of vacation. I took my last available dose of percocet Saturday morning and couldn't get any more till Monday morning. Sunday was hell and I ended up taking my ambien 3 times that day just to see if I could sleep away the time until I could be my meds. I did have some old darvocet in the cabinet and took tons of that but it didn't seem to touch the pain. So, monday morning I took daddy's truck and trudged off to the doctors. It's hard to drive with the muscle spasms and twitching I get when I'm in severe pain. But when I got to CVS and got the prescription filled, I bought a bottle of water and took my percs immediately!!! It took about 20 minutes and I felt like my old self again. Wonderful stuff that percocet. Well, just wanted to let you all know I'm back. I missed you all. Margaret, Mom to the monsters
