Guest guest
I have a Jersey cow that is 10 years old. She has a 4mo calf on her and we pull her overnight when we need milk. We've been doing this since she was 2 but lately she will NOT let down her milk. She drips milk and when we start milking you can see her suck it up and we get a few squirts is all. Not sure what has changed and she is healthy otherwise. My question is- there is a chance she could be pregnant, but is there a small dose of oxytocin that would still be safe to give without causing problems and yet cause her to letdown some milk? We've tried everything we can think of except giving her oxytocin. -- KennedyFour TS RanchDelta, COSable Saanen, Lamancha, Nigerian, Nubian and Boer Goats & Jersey CowsAkbash- Working Livestock Guard Dogs
