Guest guest Posted September 1, 2012 Report Share Posted September 1, 2012 We do a lot of active hip extension i.e. get the dog's front paws up on something like a ball, cushion, stairstep, table etc depending on size of dog (usually we use a physioball or peanut). We usually lure them up with treats. I guess you don't get as much extension as you do with passive extension but it works for us. If you get the paws up and then roll the ball forward a bit you get more hip extension.
