Guest guest
This is an update to the info of the earlier post contained below. On the 6'th I had my first follow up visit with the surgeon and at that time he gave me a " green light " as to all my normal activities except for " heavy lifting " (As a guide for " Heavy " a gallon [3,75 liters] of milk was OK but nothing heavier.) Today (the 20'th) was the second follow up visit and the doctor is happy with my progress. I have a third follow up visit due in 2 months and probably will be discharged at that time. Gerard PS , I am still keeping you in my prayers for your delayed surgery. > > I'm back as of a couple hours ago in my homestead. > The surgery went better than expected in several ways; thanks for > all your prayers and best wishes. > > The surgery was at about 7:30 AM and I am not sure when it was > finished. > My brother, sister-in-law, first cousin by marriage and her son, > my first cousin first removed was at the hospital. > Due to miscommunication they did not know when the surgery was > completed and were able to track me down in the ICU unit about > 3:00 PM. > My brother and sister-in-law visited me both that day and > Wednesday in ICU. > I remained in ICU Wednesday and about 2:00 PM was informed that > I would be transferred to a normal (non ICU) recovery area; due > to finding a bed it was finally done about 1:30 AM Thursday. > I was visited by them each day and some other relatives and the > condo president also visited me at least once during this time. > During my brother and sister-in-law's visit on Thursday the > doctor happen to come in and informed us that my progress was > that well I might be discharged Saturday; the pathology report > would be expected 3 to 5 working days after the surgery > (Friday through Tuesday). > Friday my brother and sister-in-law just missed the doctor's > (second visit) containing the news of the pathology report. > CLEAN of cancer > and I would be discharged Saturday IF I was able to hold my first > solid mean that morning. > AS you can now see I was able to retain my Saturday's (today's) > breakfast and I am now home > > Thanks again for you prayers and thoughts. > > I hope yours goes as well or better than expected.
