Guest guest Posted November 30, 2011 Report Share Posted November 30, 2011 It all started when my knees were killing me. It hurt to walk up stairs and down stairs. And to bend down , well, I just wanted to cry it hurt so bad. Went to the doctor and they took x-rays of both knees could not find anything. Then I was sent to orthopedist, still nothing. In the mean time these red welts started showing up. I was told by the Orthpedist they looked like bug bites. NOT!! I was also seeing a chiropractor who told me that it systemic. He seemed to be the only one that knew what he was talking about. Went to the doctor AGAIN and was told the welts were Erythema Nodosum. I had never heard of such a thing. The welts were very painful and burned. It felt like my legs were on fire at one point. It seemed like the red area around the welt was getting bigger. Then my legs started to swell. My ankles were the size of softballs. The only thing that releived the swelling was proping my legs up. I am into my 4th week with this. The red areas are staring to itch and at times I have pain. I hope none of this leaves a scar. The areas a starting to turn purple, is the end? Are they going to come back? One doctor told me that it doesn't return, I hope so, but after reading some the post, it doesn't sound like it. My Mother always told me I was not normal :0) Guess she was right.
