I have now been married for about 3 1/2 years, and had vv for about the same time, or a little longer (I am 29, my husband 36). In the beginning my husband kept making sort of threats like 'get yourself sorted out or I will find someone else'. After being diagnosed, and more recently after finding this list, he now knows it is not something I can just go and get sorted out. I guess he is pretty good about it, especially as I don't even let him come near me. For me intercourse is not just painful, but totally impossible! I often think what it would be like to have a full loving relationship (and I'm sure my husband does too), and get really depressed at the thought that it might never happen. I used to brush it up to my smoking until one day I had bathed, washed my hair, then my hands separately with a scrub, and went to bed. When I woke up, rubbed my eyes and nearly screamed.
