When I was reviewing info on alcoholism - there was soemthing about how long it

takes to heal the body from its effects- sometimes years. That also applies to

carbs. Since I need to be off of gluten containing flours and foods (but I have

been craving and eating them lately) I can expect some healing as I strive to

better nourish my body.

They mentioned acute withdrawal and post acute withdrawal from alcohol, but I

kept seeing connections to starches and sugars as I read it.

That means to me that every attempt I make to try to eat clean does something

good for my body.

It takes more time for me to establish positive habits - I have to work to the

level of consistency over a period of at least 6 weeks to 90 days. Being careful

and gentle with myself and my alters helps - I have to have a democracy inside

so that there will be no acting out in less safe ways by the others.
