Guest guest
Hi all I have been trying to get back on to t3 am on 40mg cortef taken 5 times a day but when i went up to 20 mg of T3 temps ok for a few days then spiked. 25-Oct 26-Oct 27-Oct 28-Oct 29-Oct 11:00 AM 95.2 96.6 95.7 95.9 97.7 2pm 94.5 93.7 95.4 97.3 97.7 5pm 96.4 96.4 97.0 93.7 95.2 average 95.4 95.6 96.0 95.7 96.9 pulse 78 68 66 68 72 bp sat 114/65 bp stand 105/68 T3 4 x 5mg 4 x 5mg 4 x 5mg 4 x 5mg 4 x 5mg Cortef 40 40 40 40 40 It does not seem to matter how little t3 I have my temps wont stabalise, so I hoped at least with more t3 i would get some pain relief? I am in so much pain I do not no what to do, waking at 3am and unable to lie on the bed due to neck and shoulder pain but too damn tired to get up. I am taking my maximum amount of painkillers and often a muscle relaxant at night. Today I decided to try an experiment an go to 60 mg t3 taken 20 rising, 20 round lunch and 20 tea. I want to see if I stay on this for a week if I will get some relief from the pain and other symptoms that have come back since i came off t3. I know you may say this is totally wrong to do, but is there anything I can do to make this work, I am just feeling desperate with the pain. Sorry to moan. PS I have posted a summary of treatment below for information. Thanks Caroline Précis for information Ill for years, Tonsils out, glandular fever, head injury and severe whiplash 1988. June 2005 tested again for thyroid TSH and T4 results TSH 0.69 T4 19 told go away and take amitryptiline - started own research Did wilsons for 18 months and had good improvement – Dr stopped doing it. Found Dr Peatfield and tried armour, He said: Hypothyroid for years may be primary or secondary to pituta3et damage. Low adrenal reserve – clinical for some years Thinks systemic Candida – sent test to lab yesterday. Candida all sorted. Tried armour and got thyro toxic at same time took glandular adrenal supplement building up to 6 a day. Came off armour and on to T3 started to improve but temps never stabalised, lots of symptoms went, but not all. Started HC and worked up to 20mg and 160mg T3, had bad stressful situation and temps still not stable. Started getting more symptoms again. Came off T3 and now on 40mg HC, all symptoms back, two migraines in a week, neck, head, pain, are shoulder pain, light and heat sensitive, frozen all the time, tire etc.
